The Life of a Cupcake
By Shelby Greer

The author of the poem might be bored and hungry at the time that she decided to write this poem. The life of a cupcake was the point of view of the personified cupcake. It was in a chronological order that starts at baking to eating. It was fun and weirdly satisfying to read.

The first stanza starts at the baking process, which the cupcake was put in a hot oven. It was unique that the cupcake narrates the experience of being in a hot oven and how it starts to bubble and cook as well as the other cupcakes that was in the oven. The baby cupcake know that the were in a big trouble. It was truly a deprived and miserable cake😩.

The second stanza, was when the cupcakes was done and it is time for the frosting and decorations. I loved the fact that the narrator cupcake called the other cupcakes fools. The narrator cupcake really posses the main character vibes there, and it slayed💅.

The third stanza was the fall of the poor baby cupcake. It tells us a story of the short life it lived, and now it is time to fulfill its purpose. I loved that even in the last moments the cupcake still chooses violence and wanted to slap the bitch that took them wrapper off and wanted to unalive the poor baby cupcake. That evil human ate the baby cupcake and that was the day that the life of a cupcake end.
