Note: This is my first time using wattpad and also my first time publishing my work on any platform. I've been writing for a while now but never really made anything public. This may or may not be the best so bear
with me.He stared at the ceiling, feeling lifeless. He couldn't sleep properly ever since he moved. It bugged him how people were still awake here at ungodly hours. The distant sound of mid-night traffic and displeasing horns rung in his ears as he shifted uncomfortably under the sheets.
Click, click, click
Was he imagining things or did he really hear clicking on his window? Hell no he didn't want to get up, or did he? Anything was better than trying to get some sleep. Of course he walked up to the window to peek out.
Sliding his window open, he popped his head out into the cold and peered right down.
W.T.F
He didn't really know what to do when he saw freaking Kim Taehyung shifting from one foot to another in his backyard, handful of pebbles on him.
He was about to throw another when he saw Jeongukk staring at him from above. "Do you wanna' wake up the entire neighborhood?!", the younger practically freaked out.
Taehyung shook his head, all collected and composed. That was so... Taehyung of him. Jeongukk internally coiled and twisted at the absolute shit-eating grin that stretched across the older's face. The senior flicked his head to brush off his bangs.
Taehyung shifted his expressions into somewhat a bit serious, an eyebrow raised, "Well, you gonna' let me freeze to death out here or invite me up?", he shifted from one foot to another, waving his arms in the air. "Let you freeze to death.", Jeongukk deadpanned.
"Get your ass down here and open the door!", Taehyung practically screamed. Jeongukk flinched, "Calm your crap, I'll be right down."
He hurriedly ran down the stairs, wishing to open the door. He had decided to have mercy and not let the latter turn into an icicle.
He took a deep breath, turned the lock and swung open his studio's door as he came face-to-face with the person he wasn't much fond of. "Hel-" Taehyung was cut off. "Follow me", was all the younger said, a slight scowl lingering on his face.
They ran up the stairs as Taehyung almost dropped a vase, earning a glare from the other. "Oh yeah, now I'm convinced you have plans of waking the neighbors up-", the younger rolled his eyes at Taehyung, "-and breaking my vase."
Taehyung frowned, "I'm sorry but who the fuck puts a vase on their staircase?". "I do.", the younger pointed at himself.Jeongukk immediately jumped in his bed that he left, which was now cold, causing him to shudder just a bit. He didn't bother sparing a glance at the guest and settled in the sheets. Taehyung followed suit, Jeongukk didn't complain... not one bit.
He reminded himself he didn't like the latter but who was he kidding?
"So, why are you here again?", Jeongukk finally decided to ask, peeking his head out of the covers. Taehyung turned to him, "N-Nial told me in class that you were having... trouble s-sleeping.". Jeongukk narrowed his eyes, "And?". Taehyung cleared his throat and looked down, fidgeting with the hem of his shirt, "F-Figured I'd come keep you some... company.", Taehyung trailed off, he mentally slapped himself for stuttering like a teenage girl.
Jeongukk was not convinced. His hyung managed to make another pathetic attempt at an excuse, "Idk... I just felt like it", he mumbled under his breath disappearing even more into the sheets but judging from the 'almost-smile' playing on Jeongukk's lips, he probably heard it.
