[A week later]

"Shut up,"

"Nigga no you shut up,"

Everyone gasped, but tried to keep their voices down low still. "YOU SAID THE N-WORD"

"You racist swine"

"You little shit"

"I will shove these bouquets of roses right up yo ass-"

"HOW ABOUT YOU DON'T?" said Austin, whisper-shouting. "I don't think my girlfriend would appreciate flowers that are ass-fresh in the morning of our big concert and our third month," he said. "If you gotta shove something up his ass, a book or a bucket of acid would be alright. But not the roses, you twat."

"Is this really necessary?" Connor asked. "It's seven in the morning. We've been rehearsing all week and around the clock, I believe we deserve an entire day to ourselves before your huge collab concert."

"YES," Austin said. "It's our third, I want to surprise her before she beats me to it."

Lance laughed. "Again,"

James and Brad came out of Kathryn's room, making sure to shut the door gently. "The deed is done,"

Austin turned around to look at them. "Bouquet of roses on the bedside table?"

"Yep."

Austin raised an eyebrow. "Plate of ten-layered pancakes on the other bedside table?"

"Check."

"Did you make sure to not eat the ten-layered plate of pancakes on the bedside table?"

Brad elbowed James, and he gave a cheeky smile. "Nine-layered, my good man." He admitted. Austin rolled his eyes.

"Just relax," Brad said, patting his back and grinning. "Everything will be fine. Why are you so tense?"

"Because," Connor said, putting the large white teddy bear on Kathryn's doorstep. "He wants to beat her to it, before she makes some huge ass surprise for him instead. Again."

"Oh really?" James asked. "Like when?"

Austin opened his mouth, but before he could answer, Lance cut in. "Like on their first, when they had some sort of huge argument the night before. It was totally Austin's fault-"

"NOT TOTALLY-"

"It so was, so shut up," Lance said. "Anyways before I so rudely interrupted, they had a huge argument but Kath was the one who said sorry the next morning."

"Because he was such a sissy."

"NO I WAS NOT"

"You so were, now shut up." Lance silenced him again, making him shoot glares. "So the morning after, she put sticky notes all over his house like a trail. They had these mushy and sweet things on them."

"Dear lord," Connor said. "You are a sissy, mate."

He pouted. "I AM NOT"

"And then," Lance said, clearly ignoring him. "On their second month, she got him a trip to the mental institute where Dez was, which was like, impossible. But she just made a few calls and Austin had an all-day date with Dez."

"Wait," said Brad. "Dez was in the mental Institute?"

"Yes,"

"Well that explains a lot."

"It was Nicole's fault."

"Sure. Let's just go with that."

Then everyone went their separate ways. Connor and Austin, on the other hand, stayed in the living room. "She's so wrapped around your finger," Connor grinned.

"What?"

"Kathryn." He said. "She's got really strong feelings for you, mate."

Austin sat up. "How do you figure?"

"See's making an effort for you. Hell, I'm pretty sure the girl's almost in love with you," Connor said, sitting down right next to him. "I see it, you know. When we're at rehearsals, and she tells the rest of us to go ahead and eat or go home without her. She's working her ass off and she's tired, but you just say her name or smile at her, or she just sees you, I swear I can literally see her lighten up. You make her day. You make her so happy. She's always texting you. She's herself around you, she's comfortable with you. She let her walls down and opens up to you,"

"Why? Doesn't she usually do that with you guys?" he asked.

Connor sat up as well. "Not usually. She's got these walls. They're made of solid concrete and guarded by several bombs of C4 and dogs. And there's even a river with albino crocodiles and a water dragon." Austin looked at him skeptically, but Connor waved it away. "Everyone has walls, man. But her's is different. That's what pain does to you."

"And you know what?" he asked, his voice suddenly with irritation. "I just absolutely do not understand why this girl has to handle so much pain. I mean, I know everyone has to go through pain at some point, but her's is just not fair. Kathryn is so nice and sweet and she's just literally.... she's literally everything, dude. She's all-around kind and selfless."

"Ofcourse apart from the times when she hogs the fridge or gets the monthly moodswings or gets massively hungry or threatens people with stuffed toys. But aside from that, she's just so kind-hearted. So beautiful." Connor said, suddenly quite serious. Then he grinned. "Exactly why I fell for her."

"Wait you WHAT-"

"Calm down, mate." Connor said, putting his hands up. "I fell for her a few years back. Maybe two or three? I can't really tell. But it was around the time she met Luke. Which, never really should have happened anyways. I liked her first." he explained. "But that isn't really the reason why I wasn't so keen on you being her boyfriend when I first heard of the rumor, which was on every channel, by the way."

Austin almost smiled. "I thought you weren't any different from Luke. I thought she was being stupid, again. I thought you and Luke were exactly the same." Connor said. "Hell, I thought you were an ass."

"Well, OUCH?" Austin said sarcastically.

"I thought, mate." Connor grinned. "She tends to get herself hurt alot. She's clumsy, but not just physically. She falls for the wrong people."

Austin scrunched his eyebrows. "...Kath chose Luke over you, didn't she."

"She did." Connor said. "Two or three years ago, I poured my heart out to her and she said nothing at all. Nothing, she just right out rejected me. She said Luke was this, Luke was that. She was so wrapped around his finger and we all knew it. Lance warned her to not choose him. But she did. Which was a pretty stupid move. Because a year after-"

"Acacia Brinley." Austin finished his sentence, even though it wasn't really a complete thought. "My god, this guy is an ass."

"I know, right?" Connor said, and they both nodded in agreement. "She was damaged for like, a year. I just do not understand why this boy would be so stupid enough as to leave the Teenage Punk Rock Queen for a tumblr girl." But then Connor smiled, lightening up. He put a hand on Austin's shoulder. "But then a year after that, the tragedy the year before has brought her to you."

Austin looked at him, a bit shocked. "S-So does this mean you-"

"Yes, lad, I do." Connor answered. "Just take care of her, alright? You will love her, and take care of her, do you understand me? You will never hurt her, do not lay a single finger on our sweet, sweet, innocent teenage child."

"Yes-"

"I'M SERIOUS YOUNG MAN" he said. "Promise me."

"I promise."

"I will literally fly my ass out here to Miami all the way from whichever part of the world I am and smite your little American ass the moment I hear you make our little baby cry."
