Without my best friend

For so many years we have been best friends, meeting almost every day and now suddenly I won't be able to see you everyday. You are moving and hence I tried to write this for you. Dedicated to my best friend Avalanawritings

To my best friend
Who had been the reason
For my laugh and smile
A shoulder to lean on
When I wanted to cry
This poem is dedicated to you :

Yesterday I had to face the harsh truth
That it would be my last time,
Seeing you in that uniform
Sitting with me, laughing and
Talking about the things we love
And things we hate, talking and thinking about anything and everything and
It would just be a beautiful memory henceforth.

tomorrow everything will be different
No more the same,
Knowing that you won't be here
Next to me like everyday.

The day we met I didn't know
That you would become my sister
Whom I would be afraid to lose
The one who I wouldn't be afraid to show the real me
The one who I don't have to have fear around

You made me happy,Cheered me up
But never once told me you may leave
Now that you will no more be here
Having my back or making some jokes
I wonder how everything will go

I sometimes fear our friendship will fade
As the distance and time increases
Leaving us as nothing but strangers
With the most beautiful memories
And moments worth everything.

So to you my best friend I wish to say
Please don't forget me like I would never you
And I hope we stay the same and that our friendship would never change.

Maybe one day we would see each other
And I would say 'hey, that's my best friend.' Before rushing towards you and talk about everything and anything once again.
