A beautiful face
Sitting up straight
Eyes without rage
That's what society wants
Societal standards
Parental expectations
Peer pressure
Friendship measure
That's what society does
They lie to you
Make you cry
Instill new fear
In the name of society
Open your eyes
See the world
Own the truth
Wipe your tears
That's what you should do
No one's there
It's only you
Fight the world
To make a place for you
Away from society

I wrote this on a day when I felt that the reason for everyone expecting so much from me was due to the society. For an instance My parents wanted me to get the best grades so they could be proud in front of the society.
