"What are you doing?" I give my son a weird look as I walk in on him cooking in our kitchen and he turns back to give me a look of his own.
"Making you breakfast."
"Since when did you make me breakfast?" I ask while crossing my arms as I lean against the counter.
"Since you decided to get wine drunk last night over dinner." Romeo wiggles his brows at me before cracking an egg over the pan. "How would you like your eggs, darling?"
I try not to smile, "However you like."
"Scrambled eggs it is." He clicks his tongue at me before making his way over to the fridge to grab some cheese and milk. "You should really do some food shopping, your fridge isn't looking too healthy."
"Well, you've been in London and I'm always at work." I shrug my shoulder before turning my attention to the coffee pot. "Is that fresh?"
"Yep, I made it when I heard you get out of bed."
"You're perfect." I kiss his cheek before grabbing my favorite mug. "Did you want some or would you like me to make you some tea?"
"Funny." Romeo rolls his eyes at me which makes me laugh. "I already had some tea."
"You are the only reason why I have a shelf full of tea because I don't understand what you Brits like about it. I did try to like it when I was with your dad but a cup of coffee is just more elite and fitting when you're trying to get your day started." I pour myself some coffee before adding a tablespoon of sugar and a splash of milk.
"Your addiction to coffee is concerning." He pulls a face as he starts scrambling the eggs and that's when I finally realise that there is music playing in the background. "Would you like me to be fancy and add some chives to this?"
I scrunch up my face, "Now why the hell would you do that?"
"Gordon Ramsay taught me how to make the perfect scramble eggs." My son flashes me a smile. "You're going to be begging me to make you this breakfast everyday once you've had a try of this."
