a petalless flower

like petals falling from a flower,
i guess you're falling from my warmth
something that makes a flower a flower
is no longer there;

you were the petals of my sunflower
but the sunflower is losing her petals -

what is a sunflower without its petals?

you were the reason i dance under sunlight with the honeybees
you were what helped me blossom even during rainy days
you made me embrace myself for who i am despite all the other roses and hibiscuses
you were what completes me every day

but all of this has gone with the wind like dandelion seeds
now i'm standing in the middle of this deserted atmosphere alone

as a petalless sunflower i remain,
i figured you would pass on what made me blossom to that marigold.

i hope she blossoms the way i did.
