This story begins in a little town called Falcon. Falcon was a small town where people celebrated holidays together as neighbors. In that little town, there was a little girl who moved all around the country because her father was a very busy man. He took the little girl everywhere he went. The girl did not have a mother. The girl was named Bridget Kelly. Bridget was only a year old when she had to move around the world with her father. Bridget's father was a polite man, but he was always busy; he wasn't focused on Bridget, he left her alone all the time; it got to the point when she had to go to daycare every day when she didn't have school yet. She, Bridget, did not know who her mother was, and she never asked due to her fear of talking to her own father.

"Bridget Kelly?"

"Present!" Bridget said while shooting her arm up into the air. Bridget was sitting at her old, wobbly desk. The other kids looked at her; she felt uncomfortable and started sinking down in her chair.

"What's wrong, Bridget?" asked her girlfriend, who sat beside her.

"They're staring."

"Calm down, it's not like they have lasers for eyes."

"Yeah." Bridget replied.

"Is there something wrong, girls?" the teacher asked while putting his attendance down.

"No, Mr. Devmen." Bridget's girlfriend replied.

"Claire, if you don't stop talking in my class, I'll have no choice but to keep you here during break."

"Sorry, sir." Claire replied. Claire Robert was Bridget's girlfriend. Claire was one of the semi-popular girls. They did their work silently for the rest of the class.

After school

Bridget and Claire were walking to Claire's house together so Bridget could help Claire with the homework. Suddenly, a girl with short hair came running towards them.

"Hey! Claire!"

"Hi, Himari!" Claire said while waving at Himari.

"Who is this?" Bridget asked.

"This is Himari Saito, my best friend. Why, are you jealous?"

"No... I jus-"

"You shouldn't think only of yourself."

"Okay." Bridget replied. Himari gave Bridget a sympathetic look.

"Can I walk with you guys?" Himari asked,

"Yes, we'd love that." They walked to Claire's house.

They got to Claire's house, and they said goodbye to Himari while she wandered off to her house. They went to Claire's room and began working.

"Do you want anything to drink? I got to head downstairs."

"Sure." Bridget replied. Claire went downstairs while Bridget worked on her homework. Bridget is always working on Claire's homework, and she has never questioned it. Bridget is always willing to help people out.

20 Minutes Later

"It has been 20 minutes where is that drink I wanted?"

Suddenly, the doorbell rang.
Bridget walked out of the room and to the staircase. She heard footsteps going to the door. The door creaked open. She heard a man's voice, was it her dad? Her friend? Who could it be? Bridget sat on the top step of the staircase. She was able to make out the conversation.

"Shh, Bridget is here." said Claire.

"Oh, do you want me to leave then? I came for movie night, babe." said the man. Bridget couldn't believe it. Was Claire cheating on her? Bridget listened more to the conversation to be sure.

"I mean, we can watch a movie." Claire said,

"Just keep it down and hide when we hear Bridget."

"Sweet!" said the man. Bridget felt anger rising in her chest. Bridget stormed into Claire's room and grabbed her stuff. She went downstairs. She saw Claire in the kitchen.

"What? Oh! Your drink, sorry I forgot." Claire said while jumping into action to grab her a drink. Bridget stormed out of the house. Claire looked at Bridget who slammed the door. She walked home in the freezing rain. Her house was 10 minutes away from Claire's house.
