Two Months Later

Bridget got a text message from Himari telling her to meet her at the park. Bridget was excited. She rushed to get ready and to leave. Bridget ran out the door with a drink in her hand. She ran to the park. Bridget got to the park and saw Himari waiting for her at the picnic table. Himari was staring at her phone. She looked nervous. Bridget walked towards Himari. Himari saw her walking in the grass. Himari was wearing black, suit pants with a with flannel that was buttoned up. She had a purple tie around her collar. Himari stood up and tried to tidy up her outfit. Bridget was amazed about how pretty Himari looked. Himari waited for her to sit down. Bridget sat down at the picnic table. Himari sat across from her. "I have something to tell you." Bridget's smile faded. Himari's palms were sweating. "I... uhm." Bridget tilted her head in confusion. Himari put her hands on the table for Bridget to grab. "Could you... hold my hands, please?" Bridget put her hands in Himari's. "I want to tell you. That uhm..." Bridget smirked. "That I've liked you for a while." Bridget's pupils dilated. "Wait. You like me?" Himari nodded. "Also, I'm sorry my palms are sweaty." "Don't worry." Bridget replied. "So... do you have the same attraction?" Himari asked with a worried look. "I do, I also like you, Himari." "Well, would you like to spend this day with me, as a date then?" Himari asked. "Yes, of course!" Bridget and Himari stood up. Bridget looked at Himari, who was standing across from her. She walked closer to Himari. Himari felt flustered. Bridget grabbed Himari's collar. She fixed Himari's collar. Himari chuckled nervously. They played at the park together for an hour. "Hey! Do you want to go grab something to eat? I brought money." "Sure!" Bridget grabbed Himari's hand while they walked to a car. Himari pulled out keys and unlocked the doors. "Wait, you can drive?" Bridget asked. "Yeah, I got my driver's licence when you were absent from school for a month." "Oh, that's cool!" Bridget went to the passenger seat. Himari went to the driver seat. She turned on her favourite music. They went to a café. They drove through the drive thru.

"Yes, what may I get you today?" asked the man in the speaker. "We would like two teas and two turkey sandwiches, please." "Anything else?" Himari turned to Bridget. "A muffin." Bridget whispered. Himari turned to the window. "A muffin too, please." "Please drive up to the window." Himari drove up to the window where the guy from the speaker stood. He had earrings, a red uniform on, a black beard, black short hair and he had glasses. "That'd be twenty-two dollars and thirty cents please." said the man. Himari grabbed her wallet and grabbed out a twenty and a five-dollar bill. Himari gave the man the money and he gave her change back. About 2 minutes later, they got their teas, their sandwiches and Bridget's muffin. They waved at the man in the window and drove off.

They drove to the beach. Bridget and Himari exited the car and Himari locked the doors. They held hands as they walked to the hill beside the beach. They sat down at the old, beat-up picnic table that was on the sandy hill. They ate their food and talked about their interests. "Did you know about that fox that's been running around the town?" Himari asked. "No, I did not. Can we go searching for it some day? I really like foxes!" Bridget said. "Sure!" Himari replied, they laughed together. Bridget got up from the picnic table after finishing her food. She walked over to the water. She crouched down and looked at the tiny fish that swam by. Himari watched as she looked at the water. Bridget took her shoes and her socks off, she lifted her pant legs and walked into the water. The water only reached to her shins because she was standing on the shore. She searched around the water for shells. Himari ran over to the water and did the same. She took her shoes and her socks off and lifted her pant legs. She ran into the water. "Do you like shells?" "I love them." "I'll help you find some!" Himari replied. Himari walks over in the deepish end of the water and finds a pink shell in the water, and she grabs it. She observes the shell. "Hey, Bridget, look at this!" Himari walks over to Bridget with the pink shell in hand. "Woah! It is so pretty!" Bridget smiles. Himari gives her the shell. "You continue searching for the shells, I'm going to be right back." Himari said while walking back on the sand. Bridget looks around. Suddenly, Bridget has a challenging time breathing. She grabs her chest and walks over to the sand. She sits down on the sand and tries to calm herself down. She looks behind her and does not see Himari. She starts to panic and begins to cry as she tries to breathe. "Himari!" She yelled with a hoarse voice. She begins to cough out blood and she gets dizzy. "Himari!" She shouts out again. Himari starts running to her. "Bridget! I am here!" She quickly crouches down. She hugs her. "Breathe... Breathe my dear, it's okay." She tries to calm her down. She coughs out blood onto Himari's arm. "I'm sorry." Bridget tries to say. "It is okay, I do not care if you cough on me. I am here with you no matter what, I love you." Himari replied. "Let's get you in the car." Himari grabs their socks and shoes and picks up Bridget. She takes Bridget to the car and puts her in the passenger seat. She puts the socks and shoes on Bridget's lap, and she grabs the teas and puts them in the cup holders. Himari gets in the car. She looks at Bridget, "Are you cold?" Bridget nods. Himari grabs the purple blanket from the backseat and puts it on Bridget. "Hold on, okay?" Himari drives away to the hospital. Halfway to the hospital, Bridget coughs out some more blood and she passes out. Himari drives faster to the hospital.
