Chapter 3- Grave Robbers

Narrator's pov

It is a sunny day in New York as Spring had started to appeared, it's a good thing that Scarecrow has the same seasons here back in Oz. Scarecrow rolled up his sleeves as he started to feel the sweat in his human form, in fact this is his first time to find actual sweat. Lion tends to sweat during hot seasons and he remembered Lion is so soaked by sweat whenever they stayed for like 10 minutes outside

Now in the New York Police Department, he stand in the middle of the office and infront of him is a board of missing person. The missing person reports have been skyrocketed since November and even late Christmas, he started to think that this disappearance isn't normal anymore but sadly he couldn't put a finger on it

"Fiyero, you've been staring at the board for an hour. " Ophelia spoke breaking the silence in Scarecrow. Scarecrow has been getting used to call him by his human name instead of his real name but that's fine he doesn't want to cause a stir among the people here in the police department

"Sorry, detective. The missing person reports have been skyrocketed since November and late Christmas I started to think that it's not normal anymore. " Scarecrow said, they went to there desk and Ophelia pull up a file, a ton of files

Scarecrow almost jumped at the sight of it, it kinda reminds him when he was studying in Shiz about magic and the librarian gave him a big book

"Woah, that's a ton of files. Who gave you this so many files anyway? " He ask

"Lieutenant Dan gave me. He told me that we have a new case to solve and then he just gave me this files. He told me that Inspector Conner was on this case but unfortunately she was found missing. I told to Kagami to check Inspector Conner's location. " Ophelia explained

"Who's Inspector Conner? " Scarecrow ask

"Inspector Conner is an inspector here in New York Police Department. Inspector are the highest rank while detective is considered to be in a lowest rank or in the middle rank. Conner is sometimes hot headed and impatient so that's why we never get along so easily. "

"Does she bullies you? "

"No, we just not spoke any word. " Ophelia said. Scarecrow opened the files to reveal a woman on his 30's, she has blonde hair, green eyes, she wore a white buttoned shirt, black coat, black pants, and black hills. Scarecrow shows it to Ophelia for confirmation

"Is this Inspector Conner? " He ask, Ophelia noded her head. Ophelia opened up the files. The files has stored every single investigation Inspector Conner had that is until Ophelia's phone vibrate and there she received a text from Kagami

"It's Kagami. " Ophelia informed

"Did she found Inspector Conner's body? " Scarecrow ask

"Yup, let's bring the files with us and get to the car. " Ophelia said. They both grab those files and went to the parking lot where the car was parked. They hoped in and went out of the police department

Kagami forwarded them the location where she found Inspector Conner's body and Ophelia put it in a GPS, while driving Scarecrow look into the files of the victims who were gone missing but he decided to close the files since he is getting dizzy whenever he reads the files in the car

If he was in his real form he has no problem to it but sadly he cannot transformed into his real form as he have a feeling that someone might see him so he decided to read those files back at the police department or at the house

"We're here. " Ophelia said, the car stopped as they were in a cemetery. They both got out of the car and in that area they found some of the police officers and Kagami herself
