Orion's Incarnation

Chapter one- The prologue.

Something big and heavy shot towards me, bashing me out of the space I had settled in. I started falling into the orbit of Earth, a planet inhabiting mostly 'humans'. I fell, even until I was in Earth's atmosphere. I felt constant pain, realising my body had been transformed into the body of a little girl. About 4-ish. That was who I had to be. A little 4 year old girl. I hit the floor and made a massive crater, holding me inside. I could barely see. Glass from windows cut up the dirt and my arms, but enabled me to look at myself.

I had brown hair, midnight blue eyes that reflected the night sky and a beautiful little smile.

Except, why was I smiling?

I looked into the mirror, feeling hopeless again. My eyes looked hopeless. My messy bun looked hopeless. I was hopeless. If only I could see my real family again. I looked around my small bedroom for my TV remote. I switched on the TV and changed to one of the news channels I could remember the code for. It happened to be BBC1.

'13 years ago, a star from the constellation Orion's Belt fell from the sky. Researches have found a crater where supposedly the star hit in a large woodland area in Portsmouth. Also, continuing from this news, after looking out of telescopes to see a star from the Virgo constellation fall to Earth, supporting another crater in the city nearby, we have found another mystery to share with Astronomers from 20 days ago.'

"Hmph. Poor bastard got left here like I did-"

"VIOLET YOU HAVE TO LEAVE OR YOU'LL BE LATE AGAIN!" Celeste shouted from downstairs.

Shit. I threw on a black hoodie and some white canvas shoes and sprinted out the door.

I speedwalked to school, which was only up the road and stormed up the stairs of the school to get to my first class, which I was just in time for. It was Astronomy, my favourite class! The one where I know everything! And you see why I love astronomy because I am the middle star from Orion's belt.

"Today we are learning about the different theories on why the Middle Orion's Belt star left the sky. Please Violet, I know you ha- You are late on your first day Mr Millers! Just choose a seat, I don't care where you decide to seat yourself just let me get on with the lesson." Miss Mateo said. This Millers guy sat at the back, next to me, for no fucking reason. Great. I think my solitary space at the back for my Astronomy class just got ruined.

"Violet, are you going to say anything?" Miss Mateo asked.

"Sure. It is theorised that a small fragment of the meteor that was aimed at Venus flew off and hit the star, causing it to fall into our Atmosphere and make the crater in the woodlands." I said.

The bastard next to me was smirking, and staring.

While Miss Mateo was talking, I whispered to him, "Stop staring at me or I will gouge your eyes out."

"Ooh, feisty."

"I already hate you, so don't make it worse."

"Aw, is it because I sat in your loner corner?"

"It's called peace and quiet actually."

I faced forward again, listening to the teacher. My eyes widened, remembering I forgot to put my contacts in this morning so I was going to have white spots in my eyes the whole day, making it look like I have a disease. Urgh.

"Can someone please explain how the same thing that Violet said could not have happened to the Virgo star that fell 20 days ago?"

Both me and the bastard next to me put our hands up.

"Ryan, go ahead."

The bastard next to me says:

"There was no nearby meteor or rock that could of hit the star, but it was probably something that dislodged it like an old rocket capsule that hit it from the sky."

I shoot a glare at him. There is no way he would know that. But then again it was just a guess. I ran  my hand through my dyed blonde hair. One more wash and the blonde would disappear. Ugh.

With another painful dose of 45 minutes of Astronomy, I go to next lesson, which luckily I sat next to my best friend Elli. 

"Violet! Have you seen the new guy, Ryan! Have you seen how cute he is!" Elli whisper-yelled at me. Welp, science would be great.

After science, we had first break. Lucky me, I had money for the canteen. I bought a slice of pizza and sat on a table with Elli, my friend Tyler, Livvi, and Freddie. Tyler and Freddie walked to the table with guess who.

Ryan.

For fucks sake could this guy just die in a crater? He sat inbetween Livvi and Tyler.  "Everyone, this is Ryan, he's in my and Violet's English and Astronomy classes."

At least he isn't in my science class. UUUUGH. Elli would go crazy.

"Violet." Mr Bastard said.

"Ryan." I said, digging into my pizza.

"I guess you don't like him then?" Elli said while leaning over. I swatted her away.

For the most part it wasn't that bad because I just ignored Ryan. We talked about the football game we lost (again) on Saturday to our day in town next week. Then I had to brve English. Why?

I sat next to Tyler.

Why can't I just grab a gun and shoot the cocky bastard?
