Why did he leave?
I understand he had every right to be upset, but he could've at least stayed and let me explain things to him. Even if he was still upset with me after I explained myself, I didn't expect him to want to leave because of it.
I thought this would be the new us. Talking through things and actually listening to each other this time. Not everything would have to be so complicated and messy. If anything, things are more complicated and messy without is even trying to make them that way. And I know it's because our situation is different this time around, but I still had hope for us. Hope that things would fall perfectly into place and it would be right person, right time.
It's always right person, wrong time for us.
"Harry?" Gemma's voice cuts through my sobs and heaving, peering my head up with swollen eyes to see her figure standing in the doorway. "Aurora, honey? What are you doing?"
"He- he left," I manage to somewhat get out before burying my face back into his pillow. His pillow that smells like him. Jasmine and mint.
I feel the bed dip down beside me, her hands running through my hair, "Why did he leave?"
I shrug my shoulders, trying to calm myself down. "He was standing right outside the door when I was talking to Timmy, and when I saw him he turned around and went to his bedroom and immediately started packing. I was trying to get him to listen to me and let me explain but he wouldn't even look at me," I get choked up at the end and cover my mouth to muffle my sob that rips through me. "Gem, he wouldn't listen. I don't understand why he wouldn't at least hear me out."
She sighs heavily, still running her fingers through my hair, "I'll call him. I told him to go find you and talk to you. To hear you out. He thought you said those things to get back at him for being with Sierra-"
"But I didn't," I immediately defend myself. "I only said all of that because he wasn't seeing how everyone was reacting. How Liam and Louis were acting. Us seeing each other again is causing enough problems for them and I didn't need any more drama being started for them to worry about."
"I figured," she says softly and nods her head. "Harry was too focused on you to care about what everyone else was doing."
My eyes well with tears again, "I didn't want to say those things. Everyone at that table except for a few people think me and Timothée are still together, and I need to keep it that way until the wedding is over. This is supposed to be about Liam and Louis, not about me and Harry."
"I agree, Rora. Trust me, I understand," Gemma smiles kindly at me while pushing my hair out of my face. "Let me call him and find out where he's at. Want me to get anyone for you? I think almost everyone has gone to bed."
"Niall?" I whisper softly.
Granted, I know my family would be more than glad to comfort me, Niall has always been that one person that knows how to calm me down. Other than Harry.
"Right here, Honey," Niall steps into Harry's room with a bright smile on his face. "I totally wasn't eavesdropping, but I also totally was." I laugh, wiping away my tears and letting him pull me in for a hug as he settles himself beside me on the bed. "You've got a lot going on, Honeycute."
"Tell me about it," Gemma snorts and rolls her eyes. "Everyone likes to leave everything up to you, don't they?"
I shrug my shoulders, "I put myself into these situations."
"No you don't, Rory," Gemma shakes her head, taking my hand. "People put you in these situations and expect you to solve it for them. Liam and Louis knew exactly what they were doing when they planned for you and Harry to do this wedding together. More so Liam than Louis. And Timothée keeps being a dickhead no matter what's happening."
