3 weeks later...

Katie’s POV

Just another wasted day at college. No lesson till two, although have to stupidly come in at 8.30. Ah well at least I’m not alone, sitting with Jack just talking about complete rubbish.

*BRIIING*

The bell for break time has just gone, o wow, is that two hours the day gone already, why is it the day always seems to go faster when I’m hanging out with jack.

Jessica and Lucy, 2 of my best friends, and Kai, Jacks best friend, all walk in from their lessons.

“ooh look at what we have here” are the first words out of Lucy’s mouth as she winks at me and jack, whose now distracted by Kai and his new phone.

Ugh...they have been like this the past week...just thinking that there is something going on, when there isn’t.

“shut up guys, you know as much as I do” I say trying to keep quiet so Jack can’t hear me.

Moving away a little so were now out of earshot.

“well you do like him don’t you Katie?” Jessica asks with an obvious tone.

“well yeah, but he doesn’t know that yet, and I don’t want him to know so you can keep your voices down”

“just tell him”

“no”

“why not?...and don’t give me a pathetic reason like ‘oh what if he doesn’t feel the same way and we don’t talk anymore blah blah blah’” Lucy says mimicking a mouth with her hand and making a silly face.

I look at her with a blank expression, I’m lost for words...

“but...”

“but nothing Katie!” Lucy cuts me off.

“Yeah Katie just tell him” Jessica joins back in.

*BRIIIING*

The bell goes again initiating the end of break. Jessica, Lucy and Kai all go back to their lesson as I wave them off.

Ugh...now it just me and Jack, well after that little conversation I can’t help but feel really awkward...

“what’s up Katie?” I hear Jack pulling me out of my thoughts.

“oh...oh nothing...so how are we going to waste these next two hours?” I ask a hint of laughter in my voice.

“hmm...well I was thinking we could...um...hopscotch...ah...you know what, I got nothing haha”

“haha I like that idea...too bad it’s raining outside...and it’s not even good rain, just crappy ‘ooh look at me, I’m water, I fall from the sky, but I have no friends’ type of rain”

“haha! How about we just talk about anything that comes to mind?”

“we did that yesterday, but sure haha”

Hmm...I wonder if I can find out who he likes...I know he likes someone, but who...

Signing on to msn I see Jack is already on.

“Hey!” I start off.

“I’m alright glad the days coming to an end haha, how about you?”
