*Val POV*
-1 month later-
"Come on Valkyrie!" Skulduggery ordered. I sighed. It was so funny when he went into teacher mode. "Valkyrie?" He asked, rushing over. We were currently in the training room in the sanctuary. I hadn't realised, but I had been shaking really bad. Suddenly, I don't feel good. I push him away, as I throw up my lunch. I feel him pull my hair back, not caring that I'm throwing up on the floor. I fall back in tears. I moan in pain, as he picks me up, carrying me to Kenspeckle. "Val? Can you hear me?" He asked, worried. I grunt and I feel him relax. "What's wrong, love?" He asked, hugging me tighter. I moan pointing to my stomach. He nods, understanding. He places me softly on the infirmary bed, laying next me. I put my head on his shoulder as he rubs soothing circles on my stomach. I cringe as I turn over and throw up on the floor again. Skul pulls my hair back, rubbing my back. He whispered soothing words in my ears but I'm only focused on not throwing up again. I hear Kenspeckle rush in, taking in my form. He sighs, shooing skulduggery out of he room. "Lay back, dear" he mumbles. I nod, slowly laying back. "what's the problem, missy?" He asked softly. I point to my stomach as he gets a leaf out. "So it's not from fighting bad guys, eh? That's a first! "He grumbles. I sigh, munching on the leaf. "Okay, have you and skulduggery...." He trails off, raising an eyebrow. I blush, looking down but nodding. I hear him freeze, then softly push me back down. He pulls out a machine, setting it up. When he's done, he grabs a blue cream and rubs it on my stomach. I squeal at the coldness, but stop when I see his stern look. He places a weird remote thing on my stomach and runs it along my stomach. I see him glance at the screen, and see his face drop. "What's going on?" I mumbled, completely confused. He looks at me, then puts the equipment away. "Mr Pleasant, please come in. I must have a word with you" he says, slowly. Something was wrong.
