*Val POV *
"Mm...." Skulduggery mumbles, collapsing completely. "Skul?!" I yell, frightened. My hands flutter uselessly over his form, scared. "Hmm????" He mumbles. I pause, looking at Ghastlys confused face. "Do you know where you are?" Ghastly asks, warily. "Since your here, I'm guessing your house?" He mumbles, sitting up. "Your at the sanctuary.... Do you remember anything?..." I stutter, still crying. Skul turns to me, grabbing my face. "Val! What happened??! Are you ok?!" He shouted, stroking my face. "Y-You...." I mumbled, feeling him freeze. He turns to ghastly slowly, his voice hollow. "What did I do?...." He murmurs, letting go of my hands. Ghastly sighs, turning to me. "You should go and find Tanith.... I'll explain to Skul." He states, smiling encourangely at me. I nod, trying not to cry once more, as I slowly get up. I push threw the curious crowd, as I hear ghastly lead Skul into his office.
I stumbled through the halls, not really caring where I was going. What was going on? I bet he hates you. "STOP IT!!" I screamed, huddling into a ball in the corner of the hallway. He hates you so so much that he can't stand you. Even Jack thinks your pathetic. I think so too. Darquesse sneers, making me claw at my head. "Leave me alone!!" I cry out, hearing footsteps sprinting down the hallway. I cry out, as small arms encircle my shoulders. "Mummy!" Jack screams, worry covering his face. I jump, throwing my arms around him. "Jack! Why'd you run away!??? We were so worried!!" I yelled, tears escaping my eyes. He starts crying. "I was scared..... I'm sorry...." He sobs, hugging me tighter. I sigh, nodding. "Where were you?" I ask gently, trying to calm him down. "I ran to here..." He mumbled, looking down. "Jack! That's a half hour walk!" I scolded, worried. "You could've been hurt!" I sobbed, holding him closer. He sobbed as I half ran and half walked towards Ghastlys office.
