*Ciel's POV*

We all jumped as we recognized who the voice belong to, we turned around to see that it was Floyd with Jade trailing from behind. Both of them were smiling as Floyd waves towards us, which I waved back to avoid being rude. Though I can tell the others were a bit uncomfortable, annoyed on Riddle's part, with the two's present but not much we can do about it now. However what caught my attention was the lack of luggage with them, are they pulling a Leona or are they not going home? But before I think more about it, Floyd spoke up again.

"Then here's an idea: don't. We're not. C'mon, you can join us in the stay-at-school club. Heh heh!" Floyd suggested as I tilt my head in confusion.

"You two aren't? Why? What made you guys decide not to go home?" But before they could answer, Riddle spoke up.

"Where did you come from, Floyd? And would you kindly refrain from sticking your nose in business you know nothing about? It's quite irksome." He says

"He's right, you know. It's never a good idea to blindly pry into others' family affairs." Jade agrees as Floyd pouts.

"Aw, c'mon, Jade. It's boring spending every new year with the same old suspects. Besides, Goldfishie's so teeny, I'm sure Azul would love to keep him as a pet!"

'Floyd... Why did you say that...' I thought to myself as I look towards Riddle with concern.

"I'm sorry? Would you like to say that again? You're awfully brazen to take that tone with the head of Heartslabyul. And speaking of head, I'll have yours for this!" Riddle shouts as I held him back before he could do something.

"Riddle, calm down! He's trying to provoke you!" I pleaded as Cater nods in agreement

"R-Riddle, no! This is NOT the place, my guy!"

"Settle down, Riddle. You're letting him goad you again." Trey pleads as Riddle growls in my hold.

"Yeeaargh...!"

"Sooo, Floyd and Jade! Your family's in the Coral Sea, right? Why aren't you visiting them?" Cater asked, trying to change the subject.

"Yeah, you two got cut off before you answer my question." I say as the twins nods

"We and Azul live in the far northern reaches of the Coral Sea. At this time of year, the whole surface is covered in ice floes." Jade informs us as Floyd nods in agreement with a frown.

"What he said! It's hard gettin' home with all the freezy-freeze, and it's boring there anyway. So the three of us prefer to go home on spring break instead, when the ice has melted."

"Wow. Living under the sea has all kinds of challenges, huh?" Trey states as I nod in agreement after letting go of Riddle, who was a bit more calm.

"Seems so, I can't imagine a sea life for me... Especially during the winter time..."

"Hmph! The last thing I need is to spend the new year with you Octavinelle boys. I'll be going now. I bid you all a pleasant holiday." He proceeds to leave after bidding us a goodbye and giving me a hug.

'I was worried he was gonna collar the twins for a second...' I thought while letting out a sigh of relief.

"Good grief. Well, at least he's got his moxie back. As for you guys, don't cut TOO loose over the holidays, okay? See you around." Trey says before heading out as well.

"I should be getting home, too... Ah, but first, a commemorative photo!" Cater says, before I could ask what he was doing, he took out his phone and took a selfie and post it onto Magicam.

"Hashtag #FallSemesterLastDay #WithTheFroshes #HappyNewYear #JumpingTheGunLOL Okay, bye now! Happy holidays, folks!"

Cater gives us a peace sign with a wink as he walks off with his luggage to head home and plan for a possible escape from his sisters. I wish him luck with that since it sounds like it will be quite a challenge that I fell like I been through before. Anyways ignoring that for a bit, I just realized that me, Grim, Ace, and Deuce were left alone with the twins, who were still smiling at us. It was very quiet between the six of us as we didn't know what to say. Then, I felt a hand on my shoulder as I look towards Floyd, who I didn't noticed got close to me.

"So, little Shrimpy. Are you and the Seal stayin' on campus? You can always drop by Octavinelle, y'know. We'd be happy to keep you company." Floyd suggested as Jade nods.

"A fine idea, brother. Ah, what a delightful holiday this is shaping up to be. You're welcome anytime. Now then, if you'll excuse us..."

"Heh heh heh..." The two laughed at the same time.

The two walks away to head back to their dorm while still laughing as the four of us were watching them. And once they were far from view, Grim, Ace, and Deuce let out a sigh of relief. If I'm gonna be honest, I wasn't expecting them to hold out for this long. But I guess the nightmares of working at Mostro Lounge hasn't gone away just yet. After a couple of minutes, I decided to get rid of his uncomfortable air by speaking up, which caught their attention.

"Even after everything that happened, those two sure know how to be a bit creepy." I say with a sweatdrop and a awkward smile.

'Though I'll think about their offer more, it wouldn't hurt to visit them.'

"Erk... Just lookin' at their faces makes me think back to when they were workin' me like a dog in the Mostro Lounge." Grim says with a scared look.

"Yeah, that was brutal stuff." Deuce says

"Don't remind me." Ace pouts as I roll my eye.

'Well you three did brought that upon yourselves.'

"Well, the crowds are thinning out. We should probably head out, ourselves." Deuce informs us as we looked around to see that he was right.

"Yeah, me and Grim need to head back so we can talk with the happy ghosts." I stated as Grim nods.

"Good call. Oh yeah, Ciel... We should trade Magicam IDs now that you've got a smartphone. Y'know, in case something comes up." Ace suggests as Deuce nods.

"Oh, good idea. I'll share mine, too."

"Thanks you two, after all... It wouldn't hurt to contact someone just in case Crowley won't answer." I say with a grateful smile.

'And I know for a fact that's gonna happen...'

I take out my phone and opened the app before handing it over to Ace first, since he was a bit faster with typing. He took the phone and input his phone number before handing it to Deuce, who did the same. After I got my phone back from Deuce, I did a little test to see if it worked by sending 'hi' to the two. Once I sent the messages, Ace and Deuce's phones beeped showing that it worked. I smiled as I put the phone away once more as Ace had a proud smile on his face.

"There we go. Registered. Feel free to hit me up if you get bored over winter break!" Ace says with a smile.

"Only if there's an emergency. I'll do that, thanks." I say with a smirk as Deuce and Grim chuckles.

"Man, you take everything I say so seriously, Ciel! I was joking." Ace says with a pout

"Then it was a lame one. Anyway, feel free to reach out if you need anything at all. My mom's probably waiting on me, so I'd better go. Ciel, Grim, happy holidays." Deuce says with a smile.

"Yeah, I'll do the same. Ciel, Grim, see you next year!" Ace states as I smile at the two

"Same for you both, have a happy holidays!"

The two leaves the chamber to quickly return back to their dorm to pack what they plan to bring back home with them. I gave them a small wave before walking towards the door with Grim in my arms now. It was gonna be pretty lonely without my friends, but at least I still have Grim, the happy ghosts to spend the holidays with. Along with Azul and the twins if I chose to take up Floyd's offer, but still it's nice to have people to spend time with. As I was thinking to myself, Grim spoke up with a pout on his face.

"I've always thought of those guys as a couple of loudmouths, but now that they're gone... It's clear as crystal just HOW loud they've been! Buncha meddling so-and-sos... *grumble*" Grim mumbles as I giggle a bit.

"*Giggle* C'mon Grim, let's go before the three happy ghosts wonder what's taking us so long."

We left the chamber as Grim continues to grumble about Ace and Deuce, trying to pretend that he wasn't gonna miss them but failing. I teased him by saying that he missed them, which made him freeze up before yowling at me that he didn't. I just laugh at his reaction as he pouts and curls in my arms as I continued walking. But then I felt something was a bit off today but I couldn't tell what it was, it wasn't those in puddle visions I've had. But feeling unsure, I look around just in case, only to see nothing was out of the ordinary. Thinking that it was nothing, I shake my head and continue walking down the hallway.

'It's probably just my imagination.'
