30. Baby steps

Aliiysa's POV

I was woken up by the sound of someone walking into the basement.

"Get up." Jason said and I did as quick as I could.

There was so much shi racing through my head. I was scared as to what they we're gonna do to me or if they were gonna kill me. Me and Double Dutch didn't even have the chance to come up with a solid plan yet.

"This is your lucky day Ali." Jason said

"Whatchu mean?" I asked with a frown.

"Doesn't matter, your a free man...oh and of course your fired." He chuckled

I laughed. "Wait...so you mean to tell me, your just letting me off that easy?"

"Well of course, I got what I wanted, she gets what she wants and now your free."

My heart dropped....I hope she didn't do what I think she did.

"Whatchu mean she?"

"Look you asking too many questions...Double Dutch, help her get stuff and drop her outside range." He said before walking out of the room.

"Bro what the fuck is he talm bout?" I said just above a whisper

"She took the bait. She made a deal that if he lets you go she'll stay." He responded

"No no no no, Skie is not even like that, she can't stand this place let alone her own father."

"She did it to protect you. She loves you dawg."

My heart shattered. This is all my fault. I should've never agreed to the job inna first place...now the love of my life is stuck here jus because she didn't want me to get hurt.

"What about our plan?" I asked

"There's no use of it...if you wanna get her out we gotta strategize and do it quick. Skie is a smart girl but boss is very manipulative, he has a chance of getting her to change her perspective of this place...and if that happens, there's little to no hope."

"Okay so what would be the next steps to making sure she's safe when she leaves? If she step down from the plate, Jason will have not a choice but to step back up to it...not to mention that is he's back on the throne he has the ability to find anything or anyone he's looking for."

"..hmm, that's a great question."

The room fell silent

"This plan has to take care of everything, free my girl, take care of Jason...the warehouse in general."

A slight smirk crept up on Double Dutch's face. As we made eye contact with each other.

"If your thinking what I'm thinking, to fool boss we would have to get you outta here and get Skie in onna deal, that way she won't be left red handed."

"I agree but where would I go?" I asked

"For now you can stay at a hotel somewhere inna city. When I drop you off, I'll have a buddy of mine take you from there. You'll lay low until I give you the green light to move to the next stage, so on and so fourth."

"Okay so what about when we save Skie?"

"I have another buddy that deals serious shi. People come to him to get their identity changed n shi, dude is a genius. Ill find y'all somewhere to go, but you don't have to worry about that for right now."

"What about Jason?"

"We'll take care of him and his buddies but we'll have to do it soon after we get skie."

"Why not jus deal with them then walk out with the prize?"

He put his hands in his pockets

"I mean we could but...you said you wanted to take out the warehouse too right?" He asked, walking up to me

"Yes, but how?"

"We'll need maybe a few gallons of gasoline, some explosives...and of course...a spark."

He pulled a lighter out of his pocket, lighting it.

We both smiled

"You ready compa?" He asked

I nodded. "Born ready."
