Dan went back the next day and the next but he didn't see the beautiful stranger. He called Chris.

"I don't why he said it, do I Chris?"

"...well then I don't know. Maybe he's busy? Ooh I know!"

"What?"

"Maybe he's doing that thing like when you give someone your number and they wait three days before texting you because they don't wanna seem 'desperate' or sone shit like that"

"hmm maybe. I don't know, he didn't seem the type, you know"

"Right then, I gotta go"

"Aw, no. Chriiisss. Don't leeaavvee meee"

"Soz Danyul. Byee" he hung up.

Dan groaned and fell backwards onto his bed, lying spreadeagled. Then he struggled up again. He might as well go back, the coffee was great and Clarissa, the waitress, was good to talk to. Dan grabbed his phone, jacket and keys before heading out if his flat.

Dan pushed open the door to the cafe. He caught Clarissa's eye and raised his eyebrow. She shook her head and Dan sighed. Oh well. He ordered and took his drink to the usual booth in the corner.

He had been sat down for a few minutes when the door was pushed open, letting a gust of cold air into the warm space. Automatically, Dan looked up and his eyes widened. It was the stranger! Then Dan became annoyed. Fucking finally. Why would you ask someone that and then just- argh!

Dan looked back to his phone, determined not to make eye contact. He heard someone coming over but didn't look up. From his peripheral vision he could see the tell tale tattoos of the stranger. Dan stared resolutely at his phone. They sat in silence for a bit and then the stranger coughed. Dan ignored him. "Um, hi" the stranger sounded confused. Dan looked up, finally meeting the pale blue eyes of the man in front of him. "Hi" his reply was terse.

"Sorry I haven't been here, I got tied up."Dan mellowed slightly.

"No problem." The stranger smiled and Dan could've cried. It was the cutest smile ever. "I'm Phil" the stranger-Phil- reached out his hand across the table. "Dan" he mumbled, reaching out to shake the man's hand. As they touched, a spark flew up his arm, he gasped and jerked his hand away. "Oh...um sorry." The stranger smirked.
