It had been a long days worth of travelling before you finally arrived in Trost. The mumbles coming from your father and Levi had long since subsided, now being replaced with the pleasant chatter of townspeople, and the clip-clop of horses shoes as they collided with the pavement. You bravely dared to peek outside the window, taking in the beautiful simplicity of market stalls, and sun-baked buildings that people idly walked past without batting an eye. They were all living their lives, just had you had been; happy, comfortable, safe. You thought about your fathers merciless decision about your three year punishment, knowing fully that by the end of the day he'd be regretting it immensely. The love for his own daughter was something you used against him often, and you certainly weren't going to start backing down on it now.
Hah. You thought. I'll be back home within a week.

The rows of terraced houses began to fade, until the only buildings you could see were larger, detached houses or farms, and..
The military camp.
As soon as you rolled through the gates you took note of the layout. Higher ups' offices and bedrooms were in the older part of the building (which seemed to be crumbling away), whereas cadet's dorms were in newly built barracks, close to the mess hall and training grounds, where a brunette girl was currently running laps, undoubtedly by Shadis' doing.
The nicker of a horse re-focused your attention, as you heard heavy footsteps approach the door of the carriage. You clenched the skirt of your gown, waiting in anticipation for the door to be opened. Waiting for the guilt-ridden look to wash upon his face when he sees you. Waiting...
"Get out, brat."
You grit your teeth in annoyance when your not met with your fathers face- but Captain Levi's; who unlike the jolly townsfolk of Trost, was wearing the same, dead expression that he always did. Keep in mind- you were still extremely sour at him for dragging you out of your own home, and forcing you into a carriage without any respect at all that you were a lady, not some throw around donkey.
"Where is my father?" You asked politely, ignoring his request completely.
"Erwin? He's gone to his office. He's not to be bothered until further notice." The captain replied dryly, shrugging as he gazed around the camp.
"It's Commander Smith to you, and, if you didn't already know, I'm his daughter, and I won't get out of this carriage until he comes to get me himself." You scoff, sticking your nose up in the air arrogantly, as Levi stares at you with a quirked brow. Your head immediately whips back around as he unexpectedly climbs into the carriage, shutting the door behind him and sitting opposite you with his elbows resting on his lap.
"Listen here, Y/N." He spits, making it absolutely clear that he wouldn't addressing you as a lady anytime soon. "I have no idea how your that man's daughter, but right now- to me, your just another solider. I don't care if you don't wanna get your dainty little hands dirty, and neither does anyone else, so do us all a favour; shut up and get on with it."
I folded my hands in my lap, plastering on a calm smile as a stared at him.
"Anything else?" I said sweetly. Bastard.
"Yeah, actually." Well get on with it then. "Your on a gag order- No-one is to know that your Y/N Smith. For now, your just Y/N. Now get your ass out the fucking carriage."
"I thought I made myself quite clear, Captain. I'm not getting out of this carriage until the Commander comes to collect me himself."
He groans at your stubbornness, standing up and opening the door as if he were about to walk out. "You sure your not getting out?"
You sneered. "Certain."
And with that, he scooped you up and flung you over his shoulder with ease, stepping out of the carriage before dropping you onto the dusty floor.
"Girls dorms are over there. Get out of that stupid frock and get to the mess hall unless you wanna go to bed hungry."
And with that, he walked away, leaving you sprawled out on the floor. You blinked once. Twice. Feeling utterly humiliated and slightly terrified as Levi's figure disappeared into a doorway. No.. You trembled. This couldn't be happening. You turned to face the direction where he had pointed, resting your eyes on your temporary home away from home. Stay strong. They'll regret ever sending you here.
You heaved your trunks from the back of the carriage, and with one in each hand you began to make your way across the courtyard to the girls dorms. The barrack wasn't awful. It was made out of a dark wood, obviously often swept as the porch was rid of any dirt or dust, and from the looks of it's warm yellow glow, was very cozy and warm. You quickly pushed open the door without a second thought, your eyes immediately noticing the array of girls who were splayed out on their bunks, now staring at you with great interest. Noticing a spare bunk in the corner of the room, you made your way over, placing your luggage on the floor besides it before whipping any sweat from your forehead.
