It was a calm, clear day and the sun was shining brightly on two young boys who were splayed out across the tall grass in a small meadow. One of the boys seemed to be slightly older than the other, by no more than a couple years. He had short, chocolate brown hair and and a very defined jawline. In this very moment, the boy could be seen looking at the latter with a roguish grin plastered across his slightly tanned face. The boys lips parted as he went to speak, "What?".
"You're ignoring all your problems." The younger boy stated; his emerald eyes sparkling in the sunlight.
"I know.", the chocolate-haired boy replied as he watched the other, soaking in the blondes features. He seemed sad in a way; looking at the youngest as if it was the last time he'd ever see the boy again.
The blonde frowned before speaking again, "And you also know that's very unhealthy." This boy appeared to be pretty intelligent for his age.
"What are you? A doctor?", was said sarcastically.
"No. Well, not yet at least. Maybe some day." The blonde smiled, light-brown freckles decorating his face. "But that's besides the point."
The older boy rolled his eyes and let out a huff of annoyance; grabbing a handful of grass and yanking it out of the ground in a slightly aggressive manner. "I don't want to talk about this anymore. Drop it."
"Okay." Whispered the young blonde. He didn't seem to be afraid of the others display, instead oddly at ease.
A few moments passed before the chocolate-haired boy raised an arm, stretching out his fingers to caress the younger boys jaw in a comforting manner. If one were to look closely, they would see a barely visible glint of fondness and adoration in the eldest's eyes.
The blonde closed his eyes, taking in the warmth that spread across his jaw at the others contact upon his skin. "I'm dreaming again, aren't I?" He questioned.
"Yes, sort of. But not entirely." The older one replied, sorrowfully.
Emerald eyes slowly opened back up, "What do you mean by that? You never give me answer. Why can't you just tell me what's going on here?". The young boy was obviously frustrated as he spoke, since a noticeable tone of annoyance was present in his voice.
The latter pursed his lips, "You know I can't say anything."
"Why not?!" the blonde asked miserably, sitting up abruptly, causing the fingers on his jaw to slip off.
"Because I can't!" The older boy glowered, raising himself up with one elbow. "There are other forces at work here! I can't- it won't let me..". They were interrupted as the distant sound of what sounded like a scream echoed somewhere in the background. "It seems our time is up already." He said unhappily as he stood up from the ground.
"No! I don't want to wake up." The blonde was crestfallen and threw his slim arms around the older boys waist, hugging him tightly.
"Why not? You have too." The older boy tensed up for a couple seconds before relaxing.
"Because I know when I open my eyes this will all turn out to be a dream and I'll lose you again."
The other boys blue-gray eyes dimmed before brightening again. "Remember what I said angel, it's not just a dream."
"Please, just give me a hint. Anything." Emerald eyes peered up towards the taller boy, desperately.
The chocolate-haired boy leaned down to place a kiss to the side of the younger's head. "Gemini."
"Gemini? That's all you can give me?"
The older boy let out a chuckle, before leaning back to lock eyes with the blonde. "Find me." His features started to fade away and he became blurry.
"Wait!" Slim arms tried to keep ahold of the latter but it was no use, and seconds later the surroundings swirled around the younger boy and he woke up.
