Hiii. Came up with the idea at three am and thought 'hey, this wasn't so bad', so the next day, I plotted all the ideas I've thought of and bam, the next thing I know is that I'm doing this. Hope you love it as much I think you will! x (Arabelle's played by Phoebe Tonkin, check her out above!)
[1] Blue Calls
|Arabelle|
Alright, this is it." The real estate agent, Brent, pressed his palms together. "Consider yourself lucky, this is one apartment we've been getting plenty of requests for."
"Is that so?" I almost laughed, but I didn't.
The apartment was fully furnished, but the style was so poor and stale. No one would fight for the view, there's a brick wall standing at ten feet from the windows. I let myself chuckle.
"Indeed, now you're going to need these." With a smile, he held the key chain between his index and thumb, rattling the silver keys in the air.
I smiled, excited to finally settle in after a plan plotted fully by myself. I did not need my mother's help and It felt good. My palm unfolded between us, and he let them settle in my grasp.
"Thanks, for your help and everything."
"It's all about making the client happy." He gave me thumbs up before strolling out my door, and with that I locked up.
I leaned against the wooden barrier between the corridor and my apartment, letting out a relieved sigh. My mother underestimated me, to say the least. Speaking of the devil,
"Hello?" Her voice shrieked into the phone,
"Hey, mom."
As much as I hated the things she brought at me, I kind of missed her already.
"Heaven forbid the things I was going to do for you, I was so worried when you didn't call me!" She let out an exaggerated sigh, and I felt confused.
"You promised you would call at eight, remember?"
I bit my bottom lip, waiting for the memory to strike as I glanced at my wrist watch. but it didn't.
"It's eight sixteen?" I remark, once again rolling my eyes at her.
"I remember clearly that I've told you about my eight twenty meeting, and how I cannot afford picking up if I get any calls, belle."
"Even if I was dying?" I sarcastically boom at her, and she laughs,
"Be careful what you speak of, honey. Might as well happen."
"Sure."
"Anyways, I want to see your apartment before you settle in. When are you free?" I almost laughed.
"When are you free?" I asked,
"Hmm, hold on." I hear clicking. "Len, when am I free this week?"
Len must be the new assistant mom was talking about a few days ago.
"No? What about next week?"
I could hear her fumbled voice, she sounded tiny even.
"I'm free on Tuesday, next week." She finally states, and I nod.
But then I remembered, she can't see me.
"Okay, I guess I'll see you then."
"Be careful until then, I can't afford losing you too."
It felt like I've been stabbed but I kept quiet.
"I'll try to, bye mom."
"Goodbye."
