John was a skilled mechanic who specialized in fixing sirens. He had been called to the local police station to repair a faulty siren on one of their patrol cars. It was a routine job for him, and he had done it many times before. As he worked on the siren, he heard a strange noise coming from outside the garage.
John: "What's that noise?"
Officer: "What noise?"
John: "I don't know. It sounds like a scream or something."
Officer: "Probably just the wind."
John finished fixing the siren and went to test it out. He got into the patrol car and turned on the siren. Suddenly, the car's headlights illuminated a figure standing in the middle of the road.
John: "Whoa! What the hell is that?"
Officer: "What's going on?"
John: "There's someone in the road!"
The figure started walking towards the car, and as it got closer, John and the officer realized that it wasn't a person at all. It was a creature with long, twisted limbs and glowing eyes.
John: "What the hell is that thing?"
Officer: "I don't know, but we need to get out of here!"
The creature lunged at the car, its razor-sharp claws scratching the hood. John slammed on the gas, and the car shot forward, narrowly missing the creature.
John: "We have to call for backup!"
Officer: "What are we going to say? That we saw a monster?"
John: "I don't know, but we have to do something!"
The two men sped away from the police station, their hearts pounding in their chests. They knew they had just witnessed something out of a horror movie, and they were terrified. From that day forward, John never looked at a siren the same way again.
