'It's obvious he's into her', you said, while watching Volo and Akari cuddle from a distance.

'It is', Rei said, who was watching with you.

Maybe it was the way he smiled at her, treated her or just looked at her, but it was as clear as day he was in love.

'But is Akari into Volo?', you asked.

'I have no idea'

'Akari'

'What..', she seemed annoyed because you pulled her away from her cuddle buddy.

'Do you like Volo?', you asked, teasing and smirking.

She looked behind her at Volo, before looking back at you, face bright red.

'Maybe..'

You gasped.

'Rei!'

'No no no no!'

'She is! She is!'

'She is?!', Rei yelled back.

'Yes!'

'Wooooohooo!'

'Wooohooo!'

'Shut up!', Akari yelled.

'Tell him', you said to her.

'No.. he probably isn't into me'

'Trust me, he is crazy in love'

'You sure?'

'Positive'

You, Rei and Adaman were hiding behind a tree, watching Volo and Akari laugh and joke as friends do.

Then Volo got up, saying he had to leave.

Akari got up too, then gently hugged him.

Before Volo could hug her back, Akari pressed her lips against his.

But no one could see coming what was about to happen.

Volo toke a few steps back, creating space between them.

Everyone seemed surprised by it.

Why would he step away? If your crush would kiss you, would you step away? 

Then realisation dawned on you.

Maybe.. he doesn't like her.?

Volo quickly turned away and walked away.

Akari was confused, as were you.

You walked over to her and pulled her in for a hug.

Only then the realisation dawned on her.

She buried her face in your shoulder, crying her heart out. 

After nightfall Volo hadn't returned to the town.

Akari begged you to go look for him.

'I can't believe I agreed', you said, while walking through the forest, looking for Volo.

'Volo!'

No reply.

'Volooo!'

Still nothing.

What's that?

You saw a big circle of gold light on the top of a cliff.

You ran over to it, seeing Arceus.

You hid behind a few boulders.

Volo

You peaked to see Volo standing in front of Arceus.

'Yes?'

How is everyone doing?

'Everyone is fine', he said, but something about he how spoke seemed different.

Almost if he was..

Heartbroken?, you thought to yourself.

You did as Arceus told you.

Volo seemed surprised by seeing you.

'Why are you here?'

'Akari is worried about you'

He looked down at the ground.

'I thought you were into her', you said.

'I am'

'Then why did you reject her!'

'I had no choice!'

It was clear he was on the edge of tears.

'I'm a helper of Arceus..'

You nodded, not knowing what that had to do with anything.

'Helpers of Arceus travel between reality's, checking up on everything. Helpers are not allowed to date people of reality's that they work in'

Volo, you know what this means

'And if someone declares their love to a helper, the helper isn't allowed to stay in that reality'

You stared at the circle of gold light.

'You're leaving? Forever?'

He nodded, whipping away tears.

You looked up at Arceus.

'How could you do this to him!', you yelled.

He knew the rules

'So! Love is unpredictable!'

'Y/N please'

You turned to him.

'I know that you don't want me to leave, but there is nothing left to do'

Even tho you only knew him for two days, your heart broke knowing he will leave, and never come back.

You felled tears forming in your eyes.

He turned to the light.

'It was nice to meet you', he said, before walking through.

The light quickly faded, leaving you and Arceus in complete darkness.

You ran to Arceus, trying to punch it.

Nothing you did seemed to harm it, and yet you kept punching.

'Fuck off with your 'Y/N please'!'

Y/N he knew the rules

'I don't give a fuck!', you yelled at it.

Your knuckles were now bleeding, since you punched of the skin off them.

Arceus pushed you away with an aura of gold light, but it was a gentle push.

Go home

You felled your blood boil, but you turned around and walked back to the town.

As you walked into the town, you were almost tackled by Akari.

'Where is he?!'

You looked up at her, unsure what to tell her.

'He left..'

'To where?!'

'I.. don't know.. all I know is that he.. will never return'

'He hates me that much.?'

'No! He wanted to stay! He wanted to be with you, in a relationship.. but he wasn't allowed to and was forced to leave'

'By who! Who could force him to do so!'

'Arceus', you spit out the name, feeling complete hate for him.
