Hello everyone!
This is the second book in the 'Oh, it must be love' series.
This will be a two-parter, I'll get the other half up later today possibly tomorrow.
Shout out to Jesse_Winter_Soldier for cheer reading and supporting me while writing this one!
This was a little emotional to write so please read with caution guys!
⚠️ Warnings: Mentions of Child Neglect, Child Protective Services, Fertility Issues, Foster Care.
According to the latest estimates, as many as 9 million children in the United States live in "food insecure" homes. School meals are the only reliable meals some kids have, reach out to your local schools and ask about donating!
This is not beta read, I did my best to catch everything.
As always guys like the chapter and leave me some comments!
Happy Reading!

Steve balances box light pink boxes of assorted doughnuts and his large coffee with one hand; his phone is between his lips, as his other hand digs through his satchel for his faculty ID, in hindsight he should have pulled that out before climbing out of the truck.
"Oh, my goodness, Steve."
He glances over his shoulder to see a short chubby woman with curly ebony hair and turquoise butterfly-framed glasses that pop against her dark skin hustling toward him. Rosemary Hunnicutt, the music teacher, the room is across the hall from his. Steve pulls his phone from his mouth, stuffing it in the back pocket of his dress pants, grabbing his coffee before he loses it. What a shame that would be.
"Thank you, Rosemary," he says as she swipes her ID.
Rosemary smiles as she holds the door open "You're Welcome; you do realize you're not an octopus, right?" she laughs, following him into the school.
"You should me carry in the groceries," he wags his brows.
Rosemary snorts, shaking her head as they walk side by side through the halls of Lincoln Elementary School toward the staff lounge; she pushes the door open for him; there are already a few other faculty members in there.
Vance Cates, the principal. He's a short chubby man with a full beard and soft brown eyes; he's tough but fair and pushes the zero bully-tolerance policy.
Topanga Davis, the secretary/ glue that holds the staff together. She's a tall, pixie-cut blonde, married with triplets, all in Steve's first-grade art class.
BJ Richardson, the school nurse. He's tall, slightly muscular, and has thick curly blonde hair and shaved sides; sometimes, Steve swears he's related to Zak. The kid can be fuckin annoying.
Marissa March, the guidance counselor, has graying brown resting on her shoulder, curling in towards her face, and kind blue eyes; she is one of the sweetest people in the building.
Tucker Franklin, the gym teacher. He's young mid to late twenties, like BJ; the guy has short jet-black hair and dark eyes, and Steve knows way more about him than he'd like; Tucker is an oversharer.
There are a few others. Steve knows them; he doesn't talk to them much. He's the art teacher; not many other teachers associate with him or Rosemary. Mr. Davis had commented on art not being a real class there, for it wasn't an actual degree; the man had no idea that Steve could hear him and that he was the Steve Rogers. Which was fine; he asked Vance not to make a big deal about it. Rosemary had a good ole time telling him that Mr. Steve, which is what he has his students call him, is Steve Rogers, former Captain America. Mr. Davis has been a lot nicer since then.
