Jasper grins at us and throws his arms in the air as he runs at Christian, tackling him in a hug. Christian just shoves him off. "Stay the hell off me." He says, he moves and comes to my side, keeping me a little bit behind him. I look at Jasper and then Christian. "Excuse us." I say, dragging Christian into the kitchen. I pull him close to me. "What's wrong?" I ask carefully. "Jasper. He's my other brother. He wasn't invited." Christian says, his voice low. "Why not?" "He fucking tries to steal any girl I'm with or to keep girls away. He's done it for years. I don't want that with you." Christian pulls me into his arms and I wrap mine around his neck. "I'm not going anywhere with him. You are mine, I am yours. I'm not gonna leave you for your brother. He can try all he wants. Hell, let me show him how easily it can seem I want him but always go back to you." I say winking. "What? So you're gonna pretend to like him and flirt with him but then says surprise and come back to me the entire time." Christian asks slowly. "Yep. Just watch. Don't get too pissy or jealous." I say, kissing the corner of his mouth. "I won't." Christian promises. I kiss him again and grab his hand.

We walk back out and Jasper smiles at me and comes over to hug me. I see Christian whisper to his parents who hold in a laugh. They smile at me and I smile back. Jasper pulls away and smiles at me again. "So nice to meet you Jasper. Might I say, you have very muscular arms. I feel safe in them." Jasper smirks at me. "Thank you Xena. That's very nice of you. Might I say, you're very gorgeous. I would definitely sweep you off your feet." Jasper says, picking me up in his arms. I giggle and see Christian try not to smile and look pissed. Jasper spins us around and I giggle more and even bite my lip. Jasper sets me down. "I shall be back, I need to use the restroom." Just before he leaves, I go to Christian and kiss him passionately. I hear Jasper gasp. He stomps out of the room and huffs down the hall. I turn to Christians mother. "I'm sorry for doing this to him but it's for Christian." They shake their head. "It's fine. He's always been too cocky for his own good. He's put us all at risk one time or another. He nearly got into brawls which he eventually threw Casey into." His mother says, pointing to the muscular blonde guy in the kitchen. Casey looks up at his name and smiles. I smile and wave at him. Christians other brother walks up to me, extending his hand. "Hello, I'm Tristan." "Hi Tristan. It's amazing to meet you." He nods and then excuses himself. I hear Jasper come down the hall and Christian wraps his arm around my waist. I kiss him just as Jasper walks in. When we break apart, Jasper smiles menacingly at me. I bite my lip and smile. He walks to me. "May I speak with you? Privately?" "Sure. No problem." I walk behind Jasper as we head outside into the balcony.

"Is something the matter?" I say innocently. "What are you doing with him? Honestly, he's a womanizer." I try not to scream at him. "He's no womanizer, he takes care of his women." I say, quietly but angrily. "Well, I've known him for a while and any time he brings a girl around, he gets so angry with her, he's hit a girl before. Right in front of us all." "You're a liar." I accuse. "Not lying." He says innocently. "He's told me about you Jasper! You try to steal any girl he's with or keep them away all together! Well, nice try but it's not gonna happen with me! I love him and you're just fucking jealous!" I explode. I see Christian walking towards us but I put my hand up and he stops. He turns away but I know he's listening. "I'm not jealous. I look out for them so they don't get hurt by that monster." "Why do you hate him so fucking much that you try to keep him from loving someone?! Why?! He's done nothing to you!" I scream. I'm sure the neighbors can hear. "He's my worst enemy! I'm not jealous of the girls with him! I'm jealous of his success!" Jasper yells back. This time, Christian comes out. "Go inside. I'm fine. Please babe." Christian reluctantly goes inside and still watches us from the lounge. I look at Jasper who is staring out into the city. I put my hand on his shoulder and get closer to him. "Jasper..." "He's always had more. Better clothes, better grades. He got the whole fucking company when Dad passed. He's been better than me all my fucking life." I shake my head. "That's only what you think. You've thought this all your life and now it's the only thing you believe. Try to think about something else. Here, let me show you something." I grab Jaspers hand and lead him to the door. I point at Christian who is talking with Casey in the kitchen. "Christian, he worries all the time about someone is going to steal me away. He's insecure. He's not perfect you know." "But he still is better than me." I pull Jasper from the door and turn him towards me. "Listen, quit fucking thinking that way. We all aren't perfect. Just remember he is the same. In interviews and at work he seems perfect but that's all just business. Stop being hard on yourself." I pull Jasper in for a hug and I hear Christian say something and leave the house.

I hear a car start and run to the front. Christian is leaving in his car and his face is pure anger. "Shit." I mumble. I run back in the house and see Casey first. "Casey, can you help me find Christian? He stormed off. Please." I beg. Casey nods and grabs his keys and we run to the car. We hop in and go in search for Christian. I send Christian a quick text.

Xena- Chris, please don't be mad, I was consoling your brother. Please, come back. I love you so much. Be careful. x

I don't get a text back and begin to panic, I decide to call Sawyer. He answers groggily and I'm guessing he was sleeping. "Miss Xena? What is the matter?" "Sawyer, where does Christian go when he is angry or needs to think?" "Either to the park or the coast line. Is everything alright miss? Do you need my help?" "No, it's okay. I can handle it." I hang up and see Christian has texted me back. I sigh and open the message.

Chris- I'm sorry. I need time to think, so I'm gonna be at the coastline. If you come, come alone. Please. I need my love and space. x

I sigh in relief and let myself give a small smile. Casey looks at me and notices my smile. "Is he okay?" "Yeah, he's okay. He needed time to think. He's at the coastline. Drop me off and then head home. We'll be okay. Sorry that we didn't get to sit down for dinner." "Its okay. We'll all understand." Casey grabs my hand and squeezes it reassuringly. We pull up to the parking lot and I see Christians car. I get out of the car and wave at Casey as he pulls away. When his headlights disappear, I walk towards the beach, and see Christian sitting near the shore.

I walk behind him and sit behind him, wrapping my arms around him. He places his hands on my arms and I lay my head between his shoulders. He sighs and I smile a little. "I'm sorry babe. I really am. I was consoling him. Why'd you storm away?" I ask quietly. "I thought he got you. I was pissed. It was either leave or beat the shit out of my brother. I chose the less illegal one." I let out a quiet laugh, and I can feel Christian laugh too. "Why are you laughing?" "'The less illegal one'? Nice word play." "Hey, don't judge my word play." He chuckles. I sigh and move so I'm in front of him, sitting in his lap. "He won't ever get me. I told you that. I promise you. I love you. Okay?" "Okay." Christian laughs. "Oh my god. How the hell do you even know what TFIOS even is?" "Hey, I may have been secluded in an office but that doesn't mean my employees don't talk." "Of course. I should've known. Have you ever actually seen it?" "No." "You are so watching it." Christian kisses my nose. "Fine, if you insist." I kiss Christian again and I feel something hit my cheeks. I pull away and see he is crying. "Babe, why are you crying?" I say as I carefully wipe his face. "I don't want to lose you, you mean so much to me and I can't lose you or I will never be the same." Christian says, wiping the tears off his face with his calloused hands. I smile sadly and he smiles back. "You will never lose us. I'm yours, you're mine. That won't ever change." He chuckles and pulls me to his chest. I inhale his scent and smile to myself. "We should go back before your parents worry about us." I say, getting up. Christian reluctantly follows. "Who brought you?" "Casey. He was the first person I saw when I ran to the front door as you pulled away." "I'm sorry." "No I get it. Don't be sorry. I love you."  We finally head back after a few minutes of silence, kisses, and promises whispered into the salty air.
