The darkness that enveloped the room was so thick, it seemed to have a life of its own. You felt as though you were suspended in time, lost in a void with no end in sight. Your breath echoed softly off the walls as you tried to make sense of your surroundings. You looked around, searching for a source of light, but found nothing. You extended your arms, feeling the walls for any sign of a door or window, but again, you found nothing.

You stepped cautiously through the darkness, your heart pounding in your chest. Your eyes strained to make out any shapes in the surrounding blackness, but you could barely make out the silhouette of a figure in front of you. You took a deep breath, gathering your courage before calling out.

"Hello?" You spoke softly, your voice trembling slightly. Was this a dream or reality? You couldn't tell. There was no response, and the figure didn't move. You felt for a weapon of some sort but you didn't have anything with you."Speak!" You shouted, keeping an eye on the figure. The figure stepped closer to you, and you stepped back warily, ready to defend yourself if necessary.

You were about to call out a challenge when the figure spoke. "Y/n..." the voice said, almost like a whisper, and you were taken by surprise. You felt your muscles tense as you tried to make out who the figure was. The figure stepped closer and you squinted your eyes to make out their face. You could make out a silhouette, but nothing more.

Then, you heard the figure speak again, "Don't you remember me? I thought you'd recognize a family's voice when you heard it." You were taken aback; it sounded so familiar, yet so distant. You felt as if you should know who the figure was, but the recognition wouldn't come. You were frozen in place, unable to move as the figure came close enough for you to make out its features.

"Zackery..." You gasped, your voice reverberating off the walls of the dark room. It was your brother, the one who had passed away years ago. You remembered his face, the way he laughed, the warmth of his embrace, and the sound of his voice. But how could he be here? You had mourned his loss, but never accepted it nor moved on. But here he was, standing before you with the scars on his face from when he was murdered in front of you.

Zack smiled at you, his face beaming with joy. He reached out to cup your face in his hands, his touch felt so real and yet so ghostly at the same time. He carefully removed your masks and looked at your face, examining it intently. His gaze was kind and gentle.

"Scars tell a lot about a person," he spoke softly. His voice was comforting and reassuring. "And your scars tell me that you have been through so much, yet still pain remains." Zack tenderly ran his fingers over the scars that marked your face, his touch gentle and soothing. His gaze stayed fixed on you, his eyes filled with compassion and understanding. "You have been through so much and yet you can't seem to let go of your past, instead of focusing on the future," he said. His words were filled with truth and unwavering faith in you. He knew that you had the strength to overcome all of the hardships you had faced but yet still refused to move on.

"Zack..." You said softly, grabbing his wrist and pulling it away from your face. He looked at you, and you could see the sadness in his eyes.

He let out a deep sigh, then took your hand in his. "I know it's hard right now," he said, his voice gentle and reassuring. "But don't give up yet, I'll be right beside you all the way."

You sighed and shook your head, not believing what you were hearing. You had been so sure that he was gone forever, and yet here he was, right beside you as if nothing had changed. "But you're dead," you said, your voice barely above a whisper. "How can you be right here with me?"

He chuckled softly and patted your head. "I told you that I was always with you, didn't I? From the very beginning." He said softly as he pulled you into a hug.
