The Bell Tower

"I heard gunshots." Jo says as she stops running.

"Maybe we should go back." JJ grabs her face in his hands.

"John B knows where to meet us. Ok, we won't be any help to him if we get arrested too."

Jo nods her head and they run to a small tool shed and stop.

JJ holds onto Jo's hand as he pulls her closer to him.

"I hope he's ok." Kie says.

They hear a plane and look up at the sky to see Ward's plane taking off.

"There goes the gold! Shit!" Pope starts hitting stuff.

"Ugh!" Jo screams out in frustration.

JJ kicks a crate that is sitting close by.

"Fuck!"

Pope starts hitting different things and yelling the whole time.

Jo stands beside JJ and Kie as they watch Pope finally lose it.

He finally collapses down against a crate.

"Pope?" Kie bends down to place her hand on his shoulder.

"I was wondering when this was gonna happen." JJ says as he hands Pope his weed pen.

"Don't give him that." Jo states.

"A little weed never hurt anybody." JJ argues.

"You know he doesn't smoke." Kie comments.

Pope takes the weed pen from JJ.

"Come on man-" Pope cuts Jo off.

"I lost my scholarship. Walked out in the middle of the interview. It's all gone now." Pope tells them.

"You did that for us?" Kie asks.

Pope stares her down.

"No not us. For nothing." He states.

Jo feels her heart breaking for him.

"I'm here for you buddy." JJ tells him.

"We will figure out a way to get you another scholarship Pope. It'll be alright."

He shakes his head.

"No there won't be. It doesn't matter anymore." Pope tells Jo.

"Of course, it matters! You worked so hard for this. We can't just give up! I won't let you." She says as she pushes him in anger.

Kie watches Pope with a look.

"You don't have to do that."

She tells him as he takes a hit from the pen.

"Why do you care?" Pope glares at Kie.

Jo glances up and spots John B coming towards them.

She gasps in shock as she swats at JJ to get his attention.

They all look up and see him.

"Dude! Dude! Are you good?" JJ asks as they rush over to him.

"Oh my God!" Kie exclaims.

"There's blood on you what happened?" Jo asks as she checks him for wounds.

John B looks to be in shock his eyes are wide.

They hear sirens coming toward them.

They all duck behind a bunch of crates.

They watch as Shroupe passes by them in his truck.
