It was a beautiful day for the city of Megapolis, especially after the time the Demon Bully family tried to take over the city. Despite this, the city quickly adjusted itself to return to its normal routine.

The market was abundant with life;  overcrowded paths with curious customers, chattering children who ran away from their scolding parents, stall owners hawking to reel in people, and stalls filled to the brim with all sorts of treats and wares.

Then there was you.

A hooded figure gracefully maneuvered itself through the sea of moving bodies. Your eyes strayed from the path to examine the stalls offering food. You shook your head and pressed forward.

It had been quite some time since you'd been to the mortal realm. The reason was your own choice, but a few things compelled you to try and slowly return to the place you once loved.

Before Megapolis became what it is today, it had memories you'd rather keep buried within. This was hard to do when the joyous atmosphere surrounding you made you think of them. Yet here you are roaming around the city enjoying the sights. You exhaled softly as the uncomfortable coil in your stomach tightened.

You arrived at a particular destination earlier than you expected. It was a theater. As unimpressive as the building was, you found yourself drawn to the title of the show being played this evening.

'The Heavenly Game.

You narrowed your eyes before stepping inside the theater, a cool blast of air greeted you as soon as you walked in.

You groaned softly and welcomed the comfortable coldness and approached the front desk to pay for your ticket. The teen behind the desk barely gave you a second glance as they handed your ticket to you.

"Second room, down the hall, to your right," They drawled before typing away their phone. You nodded and turned on your heel to follow their directions.

When you arrived, you pushed the door to the room open. What you saw was a small amount of stragglers waiting for the show to begin. Without wasting another second, you took your seat in the back.

It must've been a coincidence because as soon as you sat down the curtain drew back to reveal the hooded puppeteer. You rested the side of your face in your palm as you waited for the show to begin, yet the hair on the back of your neck stood as the puppeteer glanced in your direction for a mere moment. The two of you held a stare down for a while until you broke it by casually looking down at your hands.

The smile worn by the man grew as he directed the audience's gaze to the large screen.
