Chapter 16

Cam gets on one knee.

Cam: Chauntel, i know we been through it, but I can't live without you. You always forgave me even though i put you through so much hell. I really love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Chauntel?

Me: Cam, say no more. I will marry you!

Cam: Forreal?

Me: Yeah.

Cam put the ring on my finger, picked me up, and we kissed for a long ass time.

Me: Cam, i love you so much.

Cam: I love you more.

Cam escorted me to his car, and he drove us to his parents house.

Cam picked me up bridal style and ran in the house.

Cam: She said yes!

Everyone's face lighten up.

Momma Jackie: Yes! My babies are going to get married.

Cecil Sr: I'm proud of you, son.

Cam: Thanks Dad!

Cecil Sr: Now, yall ready?

Me and Cam looked at him all confused.

Me: ready for what?

Cecil Sr: Ready to get married?

Cam: Now?

Cecil Sr: Yeah.

Me: Yes!

Cam looked at me and smiled.

Cam: alright, let's do!

We went to the backyard and we got started.

Me: I, Chauntel, take you, Cam, to be my lawfully wedded husband, my constant friend, my faithful partner and my love from this day forward. In the presence of God, our family and friends, I offer you my solemn vow to be your faithful partner in sickness and in health, in good times and in bad, and in joy as well as in sorrow. I promise to love you unconditionally, to support you in your goals, to honor and respect you, to laugh with you and cry with you, and to cherish you for as long as we both shall live.

We kissed.

I was so excited, I didn't know what to expect. I didn't care, I wanted to spend some time with my now husband.

Cam: Where are we gonna go for our honeymoon?

Me: Paris!

Cam: how are we gonna afford it?

Me: I got it..

Cam: umm, ok. Paris it is.
