After emancipating myself and getting my ladyship, I was set to have a nice day out with my new soulmate and get some shopping done.
Kreacher was sent to some shops with a list of what to get, some potion ingredients, and books. Thanatos and I went to the Magical Menagerie to get some magical creatures to bring more life into our small family.
I had gotten Wolffang to send over my property lists because we were moving. I was sick of the place in London. There were too many memories for everyone in that house, and it was too small for my liking. I don't know why my muggle-hating grandmother decided to stay in muggle London.
12 Grimmaduld place was no place for the most noble and ancient house of black. I also wanted land. I was going to start a nice little potion garden and a pool and space for my new place.
We walked in and were immediately assaulted by the strong smell of animals and the sounds of all animals screeching. There weren't many people in the loud shop, a few kids cooing at some of the cute pets.
"I don't know why we need pets; if you really wanted, I'm sure Kerberos would love to stay at yours," Thanatos told me as he looked around the cramped shop.
"Who is Kerberos?" I questioned as we walked to the back of the reptile enclosures.
"My pet Cerberus," he said like it was common knowledge.
"Wait, you actually have a Cerberus?"
He deadpanned and whispered dramatically, "Of course I do. I'm dead."
I nodded with a beaming smile, "Please can he stay with us?" I asked. I so wanted a dog.
"What my mistress wants, she gets," he told me softly, looking down at me like I hung the stars for him. He made me feel so loved. I really did miss him.
I hugged him in a side hug as we finally looked over the multitude of snakes curled up together under the light. He wrapped his arm around me protectively, and my lips quirked up, noticing it.
I looked over the snakes, and a few perked up seeing us, but the others just flicked the tails over their faces and went back to sleep.
"They're so cute," I murmured, but Thanatos hummed in agreement.
