It had been two weeks since Miguel and Mirabel Announced that they were engaged to their families. Today was the day to tell the dead side they were engaged Mirabel was helping Socorro with her hair at the table.
"Gracias Mira". Coco thanked
"De nada Hermanita ". Mirabel hugged Coco
Luisa just brought out heuevos Ranchos to the table. Mirabel smiled and thanked her.
" Are You nervous Mi Amor? Miguel asked
"Maybe a little why do you ask". Mirabel rambled
Miguel sat down and held her hand rubbing his thumb on her hand slowly but surely she stopped shaking.
"Everything will be fine trust me". Miguel reassures
Mirabel smiled and laughed at how stupid she sounded.
"Que?" He asked
"Nada it's just I worry to much I am worried for nothing you know how to cheer me up". Mirabel smiled
"Si" Miguel rolled his eyes and kissed Mirabel
He smiled and started collecting dishes from breakfast and kissed Mirabel on the lips.
Breakfast was finished , Dishes were washed and the couple were ready to leave. So with that they went through and landed on the other side right in front of the Rivera household.
"You knock Mi vida I am too nervous ". Mirabel said
So Miguel knocked and Coco answers .
"Ay Miguelito what a surprise, Oh and Mira sweetheart how lovely to see you". Coco hugged the couple tightly giving kisses.
"Hola Mamá Coco ". They replied
Coco stepped aside to let them in and the whole family turned their heads to the couple. Dante jumped and hugged both Miguel and Mirabel pet the dog.
"Hola to you too Dante ". Mirabel laughed
Rosita raced out of the kitchen and hugged them both tightly
"Oh my dears how lovely to see you". Rosita said
Soon Victoria , Óscar, Felipe and Julio gave there hugs kisses and hellos
"Ay Mira Sweetheart it is lovely to see you". Julio exclaimed
"Gracias". Mirabel blushed
"I hope Miguel hasn't been causing you too much trouble ". Óscar points out
"Oh you have no idea". Mirabel laughed
Miguel pouted surprised that his Tio would say such a thing. Felipe nudged him and they laughed Rosita looked annoyed.
"Where is Mamá Imelda and Papá Héctor?" Miguel asked
"Probably in the workshop ". Victoria guested to said workshop
"I'll go get them". Coco replied
Miguel held Mirabel's hand for reassurance looked her in the eyes for reassurance they knew every thing would be fine. Two minutes later Héctor and Imelda came out of the workshop all smiles and hugged them tightly.
"Mijo, Mija what brings you here?" Imelda asked
"Well we have some news". Mirabel replied
Miguel held Mirabel's hand tightly to stop the shaking.
"We are Engaged". They both announced
The family just stood there for a moment stunned, At first Miguel was worried since no responses were coming that is until Coco up:
"Congratulations Mi Ninos this so exciting ". Coco hugged and prepped their faces with kisses.
Mirabel started to cry. She didn't think about it she was really happy.
Pretty soon the rest of the family congratulated them in hugs and kisses . The only ones left standing were Imelda and Héctor still frozen in their spots.
Mirabel looked at them with a hopeful look in her eyes and she knew she was about to cry. Imelda then went up and hugged her tightly.
"Ssh Carina It's okay ". Imelda reassured
"L-Lo S-siento I just you have no idea what this means to me". She choked up
"Ay Mija You're a good woman I knew from them first moment I saw you, You make my Miguel smile trust me every time he comes home with the biggest smile on his face. He loves you so very much and I can see you make him very happy." Imelda smiles
Imelda looks towards Héctor. Héctor says nothing he just hugs Mirabel tightly and starts crying happy to have a Great-Great Granddaughter in law.
"Welcome to the Family Mija". Héctor says
They all went in for the group hug happy that they were going to be a connected family. Minutes later Alma and Pedro showed up.
" I see you told them Mija ". Pedro nodded
"Si ". She replied
"Espera you told them Already?" Felipe asked
"Of Course do you know how hard it is to please the Madrigals!!" Miguel yelled
Alma and Pedro laughed. Then later that night the Rivera's and the Madrigals to celebrate the Engagement there was laughter and jokes all night.
~~~ Later that Evening ~~~
Miguel went out into the garden to get some fresh air. What he didn't know was that Héctor was already out there playing his Guitar.
"Hola Mijo is everything okay?" Héctor asked
"Si Mira is just chatting with Mamá Imelda and Mamá Coco". He replied
Héctor looked surprised. Miguel nodded and laughed
"I know she has a way of talking to people ". Miguel laughs
"I see". Héctor chuckled
"She's definitely something else". Miguel said
"That She is ". Héctor nodded
"Mirabel's a good woman , I can see how much you love her you choose well". Héctor smiles
"I can't believe she'll be my wife in a couple of months ". Miguel was starry eyed
" I know she is going to get into a lot of situations but you love all the same". He exclaimed
"Is this what it was like to Marry Mamá Imelda?" Miguel asked
"Si but so much more than that , knowing we were be together was the main reason and I love your Mamá Imelda so very much ". Héctor smiled
"I know". Miguel nodded
"The little boy I knew is gone 10 years ago I met you who knew we were related ". Héctor laughs
"Si I can't believe it either ". He said
Héctor hugged Miguel tight and he couldn't be happier for him. He then went to go find Mirabel and dance with her. The rest of the Night was spent Celebrating and dancing . Yes the Riveras and the Madrigals were happy and excited to plan the future together.
AN : That's it my lovelies I hope you enjoyed it. Yes I did cry a little bit while writing this chapter but don't worry they were happy tears.
