The beginning of an end — A new chapter after loss.

"She's been gone for so long. I miss her so much..."

"If I were to have the time to see her face just this once, I would be blessed."

Norton Campbell x reader

(Disclaimer : I will be assuming that you have read the whole little series of Aviothic. If you haven't I suggest you read all the three parts first before this one. This just the sequel, anyways. Thanksies!)

⋈———⋈

Norton hasn't been out of his room for months now. After you died, it was like his whole life disappeared. He wasn't the same since then.

He would participate in matches, but his temper matched the mercenary. He wasn't just as distant as he was before, he would yell at those who even try to talk to him. No one would communicate with him because when Freddy tried, he ended up getting his face beaten.

It has been years, and the old him was gone.

He lost his sanity, there would be occasional banging and thrashing of things like desks or chairs in his room. His room turned into more of a jungle rather than a room. But he couldn't even think of throwing the polaroid photos of you and him stuck up on his wall. When he's sad, he would look at them and even talk softly. Every time someone passed by, they would hear his voice was as quiet as a feather hits the ground.

He would find himself smiling at your photos, you were so happy and full of joy. Where are those memories now?

He sometimes cried in his room quietly, when someone tried to comfort him he would just push him away and ask to be alone. He would prefer if it was you comforting him. You would let his head lay on your chest and make him hear the beating of your heart, he found it rather soothing. But that wouldn't be happening now, instead of expecting you to come by, he cries himself to sleep until he started isolating himself.

He would barely come out of his room. But when everybody's gone. He would fetch the spare keys that you had given him and would go to your room. He wouldn't do anything, he would just reminisce the times you spent together. Such as singing the songs you both loved, slow dancing together, and little dates that happen to take place in your room.

You were happy, he was happy.

But every happy memory dissipates once he realizes that you're not coming back. Never.

So he would wait for his own fate. He would still do his duties in the manor, but he would wait for his time to come. Even if it means never seeing the world ever again. He would be free from the guilt after those years of pain and tears.

And even if he didn't see you again, he knows that you both would reunite in another story that would happen a million years from now.

Goodbyes to the cruel world felt so great.

Saying goodbyes to the precious moments made felt different.

But he was already gone.

He was relieved that his miserable story of the death of friends and a loved one has finally come to an end, and those times would linger as a memory in the world where beautiful memories were made, forever.

No one would remember his name, but they would all know his story, and his end.
