Ambitions

Since Valdis wanted to go out she searched in her memory for transportation. Then she found out that the place she is living in is a villa area where only rich and powerful people stayed. The villa she is staying in is the main villa but around it, there are small villas for servants and together they make a whole unit. In the main villa, only the brother and sister and two aunties stayed. It was not that the rich family didn't have many servants just that they had different villas altogether to keep those people and they could be called whenever needed. Even though Valdis earned a lot of money in her previous life she did not have this extravagance in her lifestyle.

There is a system connected in this villa area from where she can connect to side villas from the main villa. There are a total of 3 drivers in the family. One for her brother, one for her, and one used to work for her father. She called the side villa and asked her driver to pick her up. She had sorted out the memory of Valdis and figured that in this world there is already a unification of power at the top with a common currency known as Universal Coins (UC) in circulation. She wanted to go out and visit a few malls owned by her family to relax and also have a general idea of the technology and working environment of this world.

Though apocalypse was within sight Valdis didn't think of abandoning any of the aspects related to research. Instead, she was very aware that it was the best time to recruit researchers so that mankind will not lose these precious gems. She wanted the world to still develop and to control the chaos that happened in the novel. Earlier Valdis was thinking of making a name for herself with her ability and did not plan on creating her base. But after she sorted out her memory and the novel sent by the system she changed her plan. She noticed a few things that she missed earlier. First of all, Valdis was the daughter of one of the richest men ranking in the top 5. It was not just wealth her father also had huge power. Valdis's father had three important subordinates who had huge power and were very loyal. After his death, he asked them to support Valdis and stay completely loyal to her. They did not betray her but a few unfortunate incidents happened. One of the subordinates died at the hands of his wife and daughter. The second one was in charge of the underworld which was a grey area and when the apocalypse happened he was negotiating a deal where they didn't have much influence and he died being besieged for the weapons. The last one was not very fond of Valdis because the family business was controlled by her brother after her father's death and Valdis was always in depression. After the apocalypse, he heard the news of the death of his two partners and Vincent who he was fond of so he wanted to contact Valdis. But by the time he contacted her, she was already in the base and engaged. At that time he felt that Valdis did not care about their subordinates at all. So he talked with his brother and they gave Valdis all the resources they accumulated through the company and contacts and left.

This was just about the available power she had and there was more if her brother was included. But the main reason was in the ending she saw that it was an attack by a higher civilization who wanted to enter Earth. In the novel, it was not mentioned why they wanted to enter and why they had to use this virus to enter but the protagonist with her harem of powerful men was able to solve this threat. It is just that humanity lost many precious resources and talents in this war with a higher civilization. Valdis wanted to change this and also had the high ambition of ushering the world into a new era.

Since she had this high goal she had to collect talented and loyal people in her group. She also had to create a huge safe base with resources and should have enough power to make things work according to her orders. So she decided to create her bases. Yes, not a base but a complete chain of bases that will be led by her loyal subordinates according to her orders. For this, she needed knowledge of everything around her so she could do proper utilization of manpower and resources.

Malls in developed cities were one of the easy ways to observe people from all walks of life and accumulate knowledge of their thinking patterns and spending patterns. Valdis thought of all this in a short few minutes and at this a car appeared at her gate. Valdis knew from her memory that it was her car and driver. The driver opened the door and Valdis got into the car. Then the car left for the mall.
