Chapter six

Time skip to morning!!

The bright sun was peeking through my curtains I rubbed my eyes and sat up
"Good morning sweetheart" my mom says my vision was still a little bit blurry but I could see that she had something in her hands

I rub my eyes once again when I get my vision back my mom was now sitting beside me she had a worried look on her face

"What happened?" I say fixing my hair but not breaking eye contact with her
"Sweetie.. your father.." she said putting the paper down beside me

I grab the paper and start reading the first sentence made my heart drop
My mom grabbed my hand "it's gonna be ok" I look up at her

"How did this happen...?" I say trying not to cry "your father was doing drunk driving and unfortunately he didn't make it" she said rubbing her thumb across my hand

"I need some time alone.." I told her avoiding eye contact with her she nodded and slowly walked out of my room closing the door

Tears started to form as I ripped the paper apart I never liked my dad but it still hurt knowing the man who my mom loved died

I got out of bed but I immediately fell to the floor bursting in tears I put my hand over my mouth trying to be quiet so my mom couldn't hear me

I sat on the floor for 10 minutes before I got a text from my phone
"Mason is typing" I read

I open my phone to his chat "good morning y/n Can we hang out?" I really didn't want to hang out I wanted to stay in my room All day but I wasn't gonna turn mason down

"Yeah sure😁" I answered quickly before wiping my tears off my face "ok Can i come over to your house right now?" He responded I smiled at his text

Mason coming over was probably a very good idea he could distract me from this situation and I could deal with my emotions later

"Sure!" I answer getting up from the floor and going into my bathroom
"Ok I'm on my way❤️" mason responded faster then usual what was happening?

I go up to my mirror  "I  look like a mess" I tell myself grabbing a comb

20 minutes pass by and i ended up doing this hair style for my hair

After my hair was done I did my makeup and brushed my teeth "I'm almost here y/n!!" O look down at my phone and run to my room to change  I wanted to do something comfortable if we were just gonna stay home

After I got dressed I cleaned my room and turned on a candle  after a while of scrolling on TikTok I hear my doorbell ring "sweetheart here for you!" My mom screams

"I'm coming" I say running down the stairs mason was standing there with my mom I could see that she liked him I waved awkwardly at him

"Y/n who is this fine young man?"
"You met him last night" I chuckled fidgeting with my hands
"I never got to meet you properly im mason thames" mason said smiling at my mom
