Ryujin did the most self-loving and relaxing self care routine tonight, just to ensure that she can sleep without Yeji. She grew to doubt that she could do it lately, but now's her chance to prove that she doesn't need her.
She put on her favorite sweat suit and got in bed, tossing and turning for hours. She did eventually fall asleep around midnight, only giving her half an hour of sleep. But she got another night terror.
Stubborn to admit the truth, she turned on her lights and tried to go back to sleep. But she kept getting the feeling as if someone was watching her, even though she was alone in the house. She even vaped to relax herself, but even that didn't work.
She threw herself around her bed angrily, she needs a different drug.
Said drug, entered her house. Getting ready for bed, reading messages from Dosie and Yuna. They wanted to hang out soon for another sleepover, perhaps at one of their houses rather than Yeji's for once.
But she got sudden messages from her parents that they would be home in the morning and they had a lot to discuss with her. This made her sit up from her bed. "Shit!" She cursed, throwing her phone down to the blanket and running her hands through her hair. She wondered if they knew about Electra being dead. She wondered if they knew that she did it.
She sighed, going into her nightstand to whip out a box of cigarettes and her lighter. She put the cig in between her lips and lit the lighter but was interrupted by the doorbell sounding. She looked toward her door, rolling her eyes and putting everything back.
Being the paranoid little cartel baby that she was, she went down to the front door with an open pocket knife behind her back. She opened the door, stunned to see Ryujin there. Someone she actually wanted to see.
"I had a night terror, I couldn't sleep." Was all the blackhead said, her bags in her hands. She looked ready to move in.
She suddenly hugged Yeji, closing her eyes and embracing how safe Yeji made her feel. The redhead was stunned at first, but she dropped the knife to the floor and kicked it under the nearby foyer table so Ryujin wouldn't see.
"What was that?" Ryujin questioned the loud clatter of the knife flying under the foyer table.
But Yeji only hugged Ryujin back tightly and closed her eyes.
The next morning, Ryujin woke up in Yeji's bed alone. Her bags spread across the floor since they were both too tired to unpack anything last night. She looked towards the bathroom, but it was empty, no one was in there.
So she stumbled her way down the spiral stairs, stopping immediately when she heard unfamiliar voices in the living room. She sat down to listen and also looked down to see the bottom floor more. She could see a couple sitting on a couch, their backs facing Ryujin, and Yeji sitting on the couch across from them, her head down and hands in her lap.
"We didn't want to believe that you would do this, Yeji. We're so... disappointed." The man, Yeji's father, voiced.
"That was your sister! Your twin, she meant so much to so many." Her mother said afterwards.
"I apologize, I know what I've done."
"Do you, Yeji? How can I trust you to lead our company after we retire if you're killing everyone that gets on your nerves? How could you be so heartless?"
Ryujin winced at the scolding that Yeji got, watching the red head intently for a reaction.
Yeji scoffed, still looking down, but slowly looking up to look at her parents as she said her next words. "How could I... be so... heartless?" She repeated, her voice was pure venom, surged with hatred.
