episode 5: part 1

"Boys Planet's first elimination. Tonight, 41 trainees from 54th to 94th place will get eliminated. The ones who are on the survivor list are the trainees that will be getting closer to their dream of debuting." The MC announced.

"Who will make the top 9 and potentially be in first place?" He asked.

I'm honestly very worried. Although I'm at such a high rank for Boys Planet, I still feel like I won't be able to survive. I want to debut. I seriously do. But I have a lot of doubts. I've dreamt of debuting as a K-Pop idol for a very long time. Since I was about 8 years old (?) I myself even thought it was ridiculous to debut. Now that I'm here on Boys Planet, I actually have an opportunity to debut as an actual K-Pop idol. A 1/9 chance of debuting. An 11% percent chance of being in that top 9. I want to consider Boys Planet as my last chance. I've tried so hard to debut for the longest time. If I don't debut on Boys Planet, then I won't know where I'll go from there.

I hope to do my best to try and debut.

Mingze, Shuaibo, and Junhyeon all walked out together. Everyone in the room was whispering to each other.

Junhyeon held up a sign that most likely told everyone to be silent.

Mingze stood in between Shuaibo and Junhyeon. Junhyeon then began to yell, "Moe, moe, kyun!!!" Junhyeon and Shuaibo both made a heart together with Mingze's face in the center of the heart.

Mingze made an eye smile, attracting the rest of the boys. Most of them mumbled how cute all three of them were.

Everyone else began to enter the studio as "couples". After everyone entered the room, the door immediately closed shut.

The screen above the room switched to 'star master' in a big text.

"A new star master?" Mingze whispered. Suddenly, a new person entered the room. It was Yeo Jingoo. Mingze had no idea who Jingoo was, but he decided to play along.

"Hello, I'll be hosting Boys Planet's result announcement. I'm Star Master, Yeo Jingoo, nice to meet you." He introduced himself.

"He gives off Doha vibes," Mingze whispered to Matthew. Matthew nodded in agreement.

"This is the first announcement of Boys Planet which has been highly anticipated 49 members of Group K represent Korea while 50 members of Group G represent the rest of the world went through the star level test, signal song test, and the K VS G group battle. They all showed their talent and charm throughout the performances and received a lot of love from the Star Creators. For about 20 days, during the first voting period, from 176 countries, we received 52,434,522 votes in total." Jingoo stated.

"52 million?! That's amazing..." Mingze gasped.

"Based on the Star Creators votes, 53 trainees, starting from 1st to 53rd place will survive. And 41 trainees, starting from 54th to 94th place will be eliminated. And the top 9 represents the debut group. Who will be taking the top 9 seats for the first time?" Jingoo asked.

"The trainee who wins first place in the top 9 will get the killing part in the debut song and get a solo song in the debut album. He will be rewarded with these amazing perks." Jingoo smiled.

All of the trainees gasped at the benefits. It wasn't much, but it would have a big impact.

"Seven teams won in the K vs G group battle and received a 100,000-point benefit. Adding up all of the points, Group K also received a 10,000-point benefit for winning the K vs G battle. How did the benefit scores affect the individual results? Let's find out starting now." He continued.
