No, he could never stand the sight of her that night.

"Ji-e said I would be a different person now." Adi said with a warm smile, her fingers playing with the supple grass drizzled by rain that afternoon. "I can finally leave that house, Wonnie!" Who would have thought? I am leaving." Won wondered how long her smile would last the moment she knows she would be shipped to a place much worse than the home of coupling and wailing women.

He could only nod, mindless of how the lady rested her head on his lap as they kept their eyes on the wine-colored sky blessed with constellations.

"You seem to be preoccupied." Adi said, this time, turning her head to face him.

"I'm not." Jungwon answered. "It's just..." Mother would go so far as to keep my sister's hair. He thought to himself, stroking Adi's once-raven-locks, now turned into long brunette waves.

"Please forgive me." There, he said it. Selling her to the Nishimura's didn't mean her rising from the mires, he knew it. He would have been happier to see her become a princess, but the rest of Evenfall knew their family was not only gambling Adi's sorry life, but also theirs.

Adi let out a soft smile. "You have nothing to apologize." She said. "I am doing this for you."

"I don't want you to!" He slowly raised his voice, enough to protest, but not enough to bring the girl to halt as she laughed. "You sound the sweetest when you're mad."

"Adi, I'm serious." Won said, the dismay in his face quite evident. "You will be in a dangerous place! I don't want you to leave. Let alone allow you to marry a what? A mad prince?"

"Alright." Adi rose, gently placing her hand on his chest. "Since my Lord of Evenfall forbids me for marrying in Witherhall, he should run away with me instead."

She might have pulled closer to plant a kiss on his lips, but he shied away. He shied away.

"Let's just leave this place." She muttered softly in his ears, then cupping his face. "Let's run away to somewhere only god knows."

Won might have wanted to abandon the ruins they have in Evenfall, but he knew what happened to Eru. What happened when she decided to reverse her fate. To disobey the house, their mother.

"It's only easy when the words just slip from your tongue." He said frustratedly, watching as she was with her smug smile again.

"But, Wonnie..." She said. "Isn't it much better than to pretend I'm the Lady Eru-"

There. There. He suddenly held her down, putting her right beneath the grass as he rolled on top, a shy smile gradually forming in his lips. "I've been allowing you to be stubborn for far too long."

They both laughed, with Won fixing her hair.

"Believe me Jungwon." She uttered. "There will come a time when you will realize that your sister had a deeper reason why she fled Evenfall. You should, too."

"Believe me." She said, wrapping her arms around his neck.
