The Lord of Evenfall was arrested on the same day by the orders of the King. His own loyal guards were the ones that seized him, sending him to the Evenfall dungeon. He had long feared this day would come, but the Lady Mother never listened. He was helpless, constantly thinking about what already happened at Witherhall, to his mother, to Adi. To Sawbones. Days have passed since darkness was his only companion.

After frail, restless nights, a burning light emerged from the entrance. He remained still, leaning helplessly on the bars until a figure stopped before him, taking off his hood.

"You son of a bitch." Won hissed, smirking. Jongseong placed a goblet of water on the ground, offering it to his prisoner.

"I'm sorry I had to take a hold of you." He said, placing the torch to its place. "The king commanded it. A little boy found Adi's letter that was never sent to her desired person." He than gazed at his lord with derision, knowing the letter was all for him.

Won laguidly knocked his head on the wall, shutting his eyes. "That woman..."

Jongseong let out a small laugh, then decided to sit on the ground. "You should have stopped it while you had the chance. You know... The thing between you and that peasant." Jungwon had never felt so naive before. He never had any more words to speak, knowing it was too late.

"How is Sawbones?" He asked.

Jongseong sighed. "She spends most of her time studying in her chamber. Hasn't spoken a word to anyone. That woman is certainly dying to see you, my lord."  But Won could do nothing. It had ended just as they started.

"Your mother is to be executed after King Riki defeats his bastard brother. Adi's head would be next on the block. You will be the last to perish, Lord Jungwon."  He had to let him know. A quick death was promised. But the words should never come out just as merciful. Jongseong glanced at Riki, who seemingly didn't look so surprised.

Won expected him to leave the moment he stood, so, he finally said some of the last specks of his words. "I commend you for being the new Warden of Evenfall, Lord Jongseong."

With that, the latter frowned, holding onto the bars. "You can still live, Jungwon."

"You are not the King to say that."  He replied hopelessly.

"No." The young lord fired back. "But I can grant you the escape you may have desired in the past few days."

"I-I don't understand."

"I will secure your secret escape tonight. But you have to leave Evenfall and never come back."

"But..." Jungwon paused. "Witherhall will know it was you."

"I have men. The king will never know it was me. Don't be too distrustful."

"Jongseong..."

"Take the sawbones with you if that's what you want. Sail off to the shore of Krakens, or even to the Mountain of Quartz. You can start your new lives there, no one in the regions will know. Settle down, Jungwon. Make your choice. And never come back." Jongseong veiled himself with the cloak once again, deciding tat the visiting hours were over.

"Park..."

He turned to face Won.

"Please bring her body back home."
