Nico POV

(After the plan of seven Harry's was set up, and the actual Harry and Hagrid reach the Burrow)

Nico was pacing in  the dining hall, waiting for his father and the Death Eaters to arrive. He would by lying if he hadn't wished even one the both Harry Potter and Tom Riddle had died.

It would end this whole charade.

But alas, that was but a mere fantasy.

The doors flew open with his father storming in with the Death Eaters following behind him meekly. It didn't take much for Nico to put together that the mission had failed so he stopped pacing and just bowed to Tom when he passed by Nico to sit on his grand throne.

"Leave" Tom furiously said and the Death Eaters began filing out. Nico went towards the door and ignored the fact the Bellatrix stayed behind.

"Bella leave, Nico come here" Tom hissed.

With one last scathing look at Nico, Bellatrix left. The door clicked behind Nico. Taking a deep breath he went near his father's chair and bowed, "Yes father?"

"Sit"

Nico obeyed. He waited for Tom to speak which he did, "Who's death do you feel Nico?"

"A owl's and Alastor Moody which you did using the killing curse, two on our side dead, one by the blasting curse and the other by falling from a height."

"Correct, the owl was Potter's. Moody's body was quickly recovered by the Death Eater's. It will lower Potter's morale. The death of a close friend and the death of someone he see's as a hero, a brave hero. After Dumbledore's death he will be blaming himself constantly. He will want to get away from the hiding spot and that's all we need. The Weasley twin was injured by Severus's sectumsempra. Two on our side are injured too. Narcissa is looking after them."

"Father, if I may ask, did the wandmaker's suggestion about...about the twin cores...was it true?"

"Ah, yes. I almost forgot. The suggestion of using a different want than the twin to fight Harry Potter was false. Lucius's wand was destroyed facing the Phoenix wand of Potter. In fact it is something we must see to immediately. Come" Tom said getting up and holding out a arm for Nico to hold on for apparating.

A searing pain in Nico's chest indicated just how furious Tom was with the Wand maker. Nico knew better than to voice out the pain though, he knew Tom knew it too ignoring the fact that it was making even breathing seem a hard task to Nico.

Nico got up staggering and held his father's hand, failing to notice the sadistic smile on Tom's face, the glee at Nico's pain.

Somewhere else, namely the burrow, Harry Potter felt the same searing pain in his forehead and witnessed yet another vision.

"You told me the problem would be solved by using another's wand!"

And into Harry's mind burst the vision of an emaciated old man lying in rags upon a
stone floor, screaming, a horrible drawn-out scream, a scream of unendurable agony...

"No! No! I beg you, I beg you..."
"You lied to Lord Voldemort, Ollivander!"
"I did not...I swear I did not..."
"You sought to help Potter, to help him escape me!"
"I swear I did not...I believed a different wand would work..."
"Explain, then, what happened. Lucius's wand is destroyed!"
"I cannot understand...The connection...exists only...between your two wands..."
"Lies!"
"Please...I beg you..."
" Nico, show this man the consequence of lying to Lord Voldemort"

And Harry saw the pale, emotionless boy, his pale almost white hand raising its wand and felt Voldemort's surge of vicious anger, saw the frail old main on the floor writhe in agony –

Back to Nico POV

Nico still hadn't come out of the hour long bath, the water collecting at the bottom of the tub he was sitting in, turning a dirty reddish brown. Blood that wasn't his.

The shower had never given him any hot water, forget about that, not even lukewarm water. Another of Tom's ideas of torturing him in the cold weather of Britain.

But at the moment Nico didn't care. He kept staring at the blood pooling bellow him.

At what seemed a second later Nico looked up at the grey ceiling and started laughing. It was a cold, humorless laugh. Nico laughed until he abruptly stopped staring at the ceiling. He got up from the tub and walked out drying himself and wearing the pure-blood clothes, that was all he had.

While drying his hair he noticed the newspaper on his desk. It was the daily prophet. Nico scanned the whole paper before throwing it away.

It was absolutely useless. The ministry just didn't want to admit that their strongest warrior was dead, even ignoring the mass breakout of Azkaban that happened yet again.
