A Medieval AU Haikyuu fan fiction. A fight for the...
Everything was as it normally was. Each day, I bring Young Master Kuroo any sort of letters, papers, etcetera that I need to give him. Then I tidy up his room. And finally, I leave and go do whatever monotonous tasks the rest of the Kuroo Family requires of me.
At the time, I was still stuck on the 'tidy up the room' part. The young master had been summoned to a meeting, and so I was left in here on my own. I need to hurry up.
After about ten minutes, I managed to finish the cleaning part. Now, I just had to check these various papers.
I walked over to his desk, sitting down in the chair. I slowly picked up the papers as the door shut behind me. Someone's here. Not only that, had I not locked the door? I quickly turned my head to see a cloaked figure in a masquerade mask.
It was beautiful, hell they always were.

A small sigh left my lips as I relaxed a bit, knowing it wasn't any nobility. I gazed at them, remaining completely deadpan. "I didn't know any of you were monitoring within the palace..thought it was just me.." I turned back to the papers.
"It isn't monitoring, it's protecting. You know that your role in all of this is vital." The figure stated, walking over to the wall beside the desk and leaning against it. "We can't have you dying just yet."
"Is it now? I could easily be replaced by anyone else in my status as a servant.." I shook my head before sighing. "I didn't get a chance to read these before giving them to him. Young Master Kuroo distracted me as I went to."
"Should you really read them here? What happens if that demon general is to come back?" The figure inquired.
"Don't call him that." I spat. "He is not a demon...the title doesn't do him justice. And he won't be back for awhile, a summoning from his highness isn't something he can easily refuse." I shook my head.
People always seemed to be quick to call him that name. Every single instance of the name disgusted me down to my core. Everyone has their sins, why do we endlessly call out his.
I sighed, regretting getting upset so quickly. I don't need them questioning my loyalties any more than they most likely already are. I work for one of their greatest enemies...yet I have to stay with them. It is the only way for me to protect Kuroo from the resistance.
I decided to just start reading. The papers weren't anything new. A letter from his parents and an invitation to some sort of ball. But the one thing that caught my attention was a military report.
