Chapter 004

I enter into the room that's supposed to be mine and after closing the door behind me I look around.

I haven't had something like this in years, to think I used to sleep in the streets, on the cold and wet concrete of the many alleys of the city, and now this? Feels really surreal, what are the chances?

The room is basic yet it seems luxurious to me, there's a double sized bed in the center and a desk near the window from which you can see the city below. There's also a bathroom attached to the room, so I go for that after leaving my bag on the floor. I quickly enter and take a shower, the first real shower in a lot of time. I set the temperature to max and let the hot water flow down my body.

I forgot how good it feels, I'm so used to the cold that this seems like I've entered heaven, like my soul is being washed as well as my body. Maybe this is the right time to move on from the past and change for good, maybe.

As these thoughts keep wandering in my mind I finish my shower and dry up before changing into comfortable clothes. I didnt have any so the girls just gave me a bunch of generic male ones that would fit me. I suppose the idea was Kai'sa's, I should probably thank her for that. As soon as I finish I hear a knock on the door and a voice from outside.

Ahri: "Dinner is ready, come out once you're done"

Y/N: "Sure, let me just dress up first"

Ahri: "Oh yeah we're not ready to see you in your underwear, yet"

Was that a flirt?

Motivated by the fox lady I quickly dress up, luckily all the clothes kinda fit me, even tho the hoodie is a bit too big. I grab my phone and head towards the dining room. Upon reaching it my eyes are blessed by the view of 5 beautiful girls doing their thing. Kai'sa is putting the food on the table, Eve is on her phone, Seraphine is reading some book and Ahri is doing some small talk with Akali while she's just watching the tv on the news channel. They dont really react to me coming in, only Evelynn looks to me and smiles a little, before turning her attention back at her phone. Unsure what to do I simply approach the only person I know a bit more than the rest.

Y/N: "Hey Kai'sa do you need any help?"

Kai'sa: "No no, really its fine, I've already finished cooking so you can just sit down, don't worry"

Y/N: "Oh you cooked? Damn, is there something you cant do?"

Akali: "Talk to boys, for example"

Kai'sa, while blushing a little: "Don't mind Akali, and yeah I cooked, been doing it for all of us since forever"

Y/N: "I thought a famous group like yours would have everything done for them"

Eve: "We could, but we really prefer just being by ourselves"

Well I guess thats directed towards me...

Kai'sa: "We do enjoy having people over, its just that most of them are either crazy fans or way too boring, you know?"

Ahri: "Yeah the crazy fans are the worst, I mean its not like we hate them its just that sometimes the attention is too much for most of us except Eve. Im actually kinda surprised about the fact that you didnt know about us, to be honest"

Y/N: "Well your music isn't really my genre and back in Zaun you dont see many posters around, plus I dont spend too much time online usually"

Akali: "Have you always lived there?"

Y/N: "Not really, I was born in Piltover actually, not like I was rich, pretty standard back then I'd say, but then I had money issue so I had to move to Zaun"
