Chapter 11

The day of my new assignment finally arrived. I woke up extra early, had a longer shower, shaved, put on my nicest outfit, without being too formal, and headed for the door after saying bye to the girls who were eating breakfast still yawning and sleepy. They were surprised to see me up already, since I would usually sleep till late morning, and a few them even giggled as I made my way to the elevator.  Whatever...

I finally arrived at the ground floor and started heading towards the spot. It was a fairly short walk, around 15 minutes, yet I had plenty of time to let my mind sink into its thoughts.

I wonder how the place will be...even tho they didn't make the best presentation for a legal activity, I'm sure they must have some kind of good office, since its located in a good neighborhood not far from where the girls live. Maybe I'll even have my own office with an exotic little plant and a cute secretary, mhmm...

As these thoughts wandered in my mind I didn't pay too much attention to my surroundings, which happened to be a tremendous mistake, since I didn't notice the sneaky rat approaching me from the side, who bumped into my right shoulder while saying...

Twitch: "HELLOOOO!"

I jumped and looked in his direction with an embarassing face of pure terror, just to be ridiculed by a walking rat.

Y/N: "For fucks sake Twitch!"

Twitch: "Gotcha hehe"

Y/N: "You and your tricks, will you ever stop?"

Twitch: "Nopee"

Y/N: "Ppff just as I thought, damn rat, why were you following me anyway?"

Twitch: "Oh I just happened to wake up extra early, and found my friend walking to his first day at work, and since he's clearly lost and missed the place, I came in clutch to save him from the embarassment"

Y/N: "Wait what? How do you-? Hold on, how long have you been following me???"

Twitch: "hehe"

Y/N: "You've been following me since the start?? And you tell me JUST now?!?"

Twitch just nodded while smiling maliciously

Y/N: "Bastard rat, if I get your ass you'll see!"

I lounged at him to grab his tail but he quickly dodged and started running away

Twitch: "Good luck, you'll need it!"

He said as he scuffled away 

Damn rat, but at least he helped me, now let's see where I'm actually supposed to go...

I checked on my phone where the location actually was and headed in that direction. I quickly arrived and saw the place in it's full glory. In a long street, between two modern, wealthy apartment blocks, there was an almost baroque looking building, with an half broken sign that reads: "Lost Riches: buy your exotic treasure!". It was a neon signed but only half of the letters were lit up, the rest were dangling above the customers' heads, threatening to fall down at any moment. I gulped a little bit.

This is the place??

I triple checked the map and it was accurate, but I couldn't believe it. I decided to go in anyway and wait to express any judgement. 

As I walked into the building, I started hearing a confused sum of noises and rumors, rumbling and stomping sounds.

Where the hell am I?

The main hall had a long serie of offices left and right, with a stairwell in the middle which lead up to the first floor. There were two doors at the side of this large, wooden stairwell which read "Common bathroom" and "warehouse". Various, different face where all around, it was a mess, people going everywhere, arguing, drinking. What was this place? Where were you supposed to go? These questions invaded your mind as the confusion inside of it grew exponentially until a tall, tanned girl approached you. She was wearing what looked like a crown of some sorts  that sat upon long, grey hair and formal yet revealing outfit, which only made her sexy curves look more appealing. She looked at you with curious eyes before extending you an arm.
