"Check!" Blurr confirmed.

"Sandwiches?"

Blurr's optics glowed as his consciousness floated over to a human body. Shoulder-length purple hair tied into a ponytail with green and white bangs, chocolate colored skin, bright orange eyes, and light freckles. The human wore a light blue shirt with a purple crop top cardigan. It's sleeves were rolled up and had white lightning strips on the shoulders. He was wearing mid thigh shorts and long purple boots. There were a pair of goggles pushed to his forehead.

"Check!"

Salvage shifted to his holoform. Bright yellow hair almost touching his shoulders, bright orange eyes, honey colored skin. He was wearing a yellow shirt with a blue vest and jeans, topping it off with a baseball hat.

Salvage grabbed the picnic basket and held out his elbow for Blurr to hook with his, "Shall we?"

Blurr giggled, hooking his arm around Salvage's, "We shall."

Since it was a hot summer afternoon and there were barely any rescues, the only one being Mr. Pettypaws in a tree again, Blurr and Salvage decided to do a little date night by the beach, since they were a new couple, they decided to go on as many dates as possible. They took the elevator upstairs, bidding goodbye to the Burnses after saying where they were going. The beach wasn't a very long walk, so they decided to bask in each other's presence and make the journey, forming small talk on the way there.

Once they arrived, Salvage was spreading out the picnic blanket while Blurr was splashing in the water.

After a moment Blurr joined him, laughing at Salvage's attempts to get the sand to stay still on their picnic blanket. Once he'd gotten rid of most of it (which was not too difficult for Blurr, who was like a miniature tornado,) he got to work arranging all their food items. There were sandwiches, fries, chips, cookies, and sodas. Blurr grabbed the drinks and settled himself next to Salvage, who was already eating a sandwich. His hand lingered for a minute or so before letting go of the sandwich and leaning against Salvage's side. He smiled at Salvage's reaction and reached forward to grab two of his fries. Unlike Blurr, Salvage loves food. Blurr, however, tries to eat as little as possible. Says that if he eats too much, then he'd gain weight and it's not "racer material." Salvage told him that whoever said that could take that comment and shove it up their-

"-nose." Blurr's thought was cut off when a cookie was thrown up. Reacting quickly, Blurr caught the cookie with his mouth. He chewed and made an jokingly unhappy face. "You're such a bad influence, Salvage!"
Salvage chuckled quietly and reached forward, wiping away a crumb on Blurr's cheek with his thumb. He cupped the cheek and smiling lovingly when he saw Blurr lean into the touch.

Blurr lidded his eyes and stared lovingly at his partner. A warm, golden light blanketed them, and they saw the red light of the fading sun.

"Y'know," Blurr said, blushing as Salvage picked up the racer's hand and kissed it. "I heard that kissing under the sunlight brings good fortune."

Salvage chuckled, "And I heard kissing at the beach brings good luck and blessings."

Blurr blushed harder, a red tint was seen on his pretty light brown skin. "We better kiss then." Blurr smirked, edging closer to Salvage.

Salvage caught on to what Blurr was doing and edged closer, "We better."

Now, Blurr had seen romance movies with Blades and Cody and surprisingly Heatwave too. All the characters had describe their first kiss as fireworks exploding in the air. When Blurr's lips finally met Salvage's for the first time ever, there were no fireworks. Instead, Blurr got something better.

If anyone would ask, having a first kiss is more like feeling safe and secure, a warm feeling blooming in his chest. Without breaking the kiss, Blurr pushed Salvage onto his back, and Salvage flipped them both so Blurr was below the recycler. Both of their blush's became more defined as they broke off the kiss and stared at each other's eyes.

"I love you, Salvage."

"I love you too, Blurr."
