Creamkit was running through the tall oaks of the MistClan forest with the early light of day shining down on her fur and warming her pelt. She swerved around the trees and bushes in her way and continued running. Birds around her took flight and mice skittered over to their dens when the kit ran past them. A cool breeze ran through her fur and the clouds were puffy and small. Creamkit was just about to try to jump and touch the clouds until she was awoken from her dream.

Rainspeck was smiling at her with her tail on her back. Creamkit frowned and looked up at her, pushing her tail off. "You ruined my dream!" She squeaked. Rainspeck gently licked Creamkit's ears.

"I'm sorry," she purred. "What was your dream about?"

"I was running through the forest, and I was going to touch a cloud but you woke me!" Creamkit pouted. Rainspeck quietly purred.

"Well, you turn one moon old today Creamkit, don't forget. "The queen smiled. "Aren't you happy?"

Oh yeah! Creamkit had forgotten all about that. She was one moon old today! How had a half-moon passed so quickly since she joined the Clan? "Does that mean it's the Gathering night too?" She asked.

Rainspeck nodded. "The camp will be almost empty tonight. I wonder who'll go."

"Cloverpetal won't go," the kit mewed. Rainspeck gave her a strange look.

"What do you mean?" She curled her tail around her kit.

Creamkit frowned and started telling Rainspeck about what she'd encountered during the night. "Amberstorm and Cloverpetal were fighting! Cloverpetal got in trouble, but Amberstorm didn't. Acornstar said Cloverpetal won't go to the Gathering tonight. He got angry and has to take care of the elders!" Creamkit decided to leave out that it was all because of her.

Rainspeck's eyes shone with amusement. "I doubt that happened, little kit. You might have dreamed it."

"I didn't dream it!" Creamkit mewed, scrunching up her little face. "I dreamed I was running! I saw Cloverpetal get in trouble!"

The queen let out a sigh and shook her head. "Believe what you want, Creamkit," she murmured before lifting her head at the sound of pawsteps entering the den. Creamkit looked over and saw Aloeheart walking over. Creamkit purred and ran over to the tom. Aloeheart purred too and wrapped his tail around Creamkit.

"'Morning, Lilypurr." He mewed to the second queen. Lilypurr returned his greeting with a friendly flick of her tail. Aloeheart turned to look at Rainspeck and picked up Creamkit, setting her down by the she-cat. Creamkit stared up at Aloeheart as he and Rainspeck started talking. Creamkit listened to them and instantly got bored of their talk. She wished there was other kits to play with. Rainspeck had told her Lilypurr's kits wouldn't be here for another whole moon.

Creamkit decided to go out into the camp and see if any warriors wanted to play a game with her. Crimsonbird and Grayleaf were sharing a vole by the fresh-kill pile. Creamkit ran over to the two elders, and they looked at her, warm smiles on their faces.

"Can you play with me?" Creamkit asked the two. Grayleaf chuckled and nodded.

"What do you want to play?" He mewed, pushing the vole towards Crimsonbird. Crimsonbird continued to eat the vole as Creamkit thought of a game to play with the elder.

"Can we play hide the pebble?" She looked up at Grayleaf who gave her a nod. Creamkit chirped with excitement and ran over to a den to get a pebble from inside of it. She came back with a pebble and dropped it in front of Grayleaf's paws. "You hide it first," she squeaked. Grayleaf nodded, picked up the pebble, and stood up.
