Everybody thought Neville was weird. He was ignored, made fun of, laughed at, and so on. Everybody just made his life a living hell.
Everyone except for you.
And that's what made him like you.
First, you started off as friends. It was all platonic feelings. You were both a bit shy, especially around each other.
You were the only one that was nice to Neville, you were his only friend.
You sat next to him in the Great Hall during breakfast, lunch and dinner. You went to the library to study with him before each exam. Sometimes, you'd even have secret meetings in the second floor girls lavatory in your free time when you just wanted to talk and have no interruptions or distractions. You got used to Myrtle listening in on your conversations and giggling, teasing you two.
Then one day, in potions class, you heard Neville whisper behind you, "Wingardium leviosa!" and suddenly, a piece of folded parchment paper floated above you and onto your desk in front of you.
You opened it up and read what was on it. Immediately after, you dropped it and covered your mouth.
I never thought I'd have to say this, but Y/N, I'm in love with you.
"Mr/Ms. L/N, may I ask, what is the matter?" Snape snapped at you. You didn't respond, and he looked on your desk. He picked up the note and read it.
"Passing notes in class, are we?"
At this point, everyone in class was staring at you. But you didn't care. You were just trying to process what you had just found out about your best friend, who yes, you definitely liked, but never imagined he'd like you back.
"Mr/Ms. L/N, look at me when I speak to you!" Snape demanded.
Again, you didn't listen. Instead, you turned around to face Neville, who had been staring at you. You cupped his face and pulled him into a kiss.
"Mr/Ms. L/N!" Snape shouted. He pulled you two apart. "Longbottom, L/N, you will both recieve detention and I will be deducting 50 points from Gryffindor for disrupting the class!"
You smiled at Neville, who was just staring at you in shock, but you could see the love in his eyes and blush on his cheeks. You then turned around and began taking notes again, leaving him speechless and dumbfounded.
