Remus woke up to find bits of shed fur on his bed. He blinked once, then twice and pushed himself of the bed. There sleeping on his bed was a dog, the size of a bear. "Sirius..." Remus whined. The dog opened his eyes blearily and looked at him. "You're taking up all the space, move over." Remus whined tiredly. The dog named Sirius was looking quite unimpressedly at him but moved over but only after using his tail to whack Remus on the side of the head. Remus stared at him, in amusement and disbelief before he fell asleep again.
It was currently 9:00 in the morning when Sirius woke up again. Still a dog, he turned back into a human. The smell of maple syrup wafted through the air. He groaned and rubbed his eyes. They were crusty, extremely crusty. And what was that lump on his back? He shook his head. His messy hair ruffling even more. Something he had picked up from being a dog for so long. Pillows. He was surrounded by pillows. The goddamn pillows were what caused that odd crick in his back. He stood up and stretched. He walked out of the bedroom and followed the smell of waffles into the kitchen. "Waffles?" He asked. Remus only hummed in response. "Ooh I like waffles."
Sirius walked out as a human. Still sleepy he sat down on a chair in the dining room. It was a small one story trailer house style. It just screamed Moony. "No waffles for you. Not until you take a shower." Remus said holding two plates of the food. Sirius looked at him with the trademark Padfoot Puppy Eyes. It was guaranteed to make you do his bidding. The only people immune to it was James Potter and Remus Lupin. "But, I'm hungry...." Sirius whined.
"No, and have you seen yourself, you reek. I think I have a few clothes you could borrow." Remus said. Sirius looked at him then at the extra plate of waffles he was holding. Carefully considering if it was a good idea to lunge at the waffles. Remus looked at him. His eyes scrutinizing him and his every movement. "Fine." Sirius moaned dragging at the word longer than neccessary. He walked out the room and into the bathroom.
Sirius was in the shower for a long long time. Remus placed a warming charm on Sirius's waffles so they wouldn't go cold. He came out an hour an a half later wearing jeans that seem to be loosing their colour and a Moony sweater. It was a simple black sweater that had Moony stitched on to it. It was something James' mother made for them as Yule gifts.
"You sure took your sweet time." Remus said. Currently sitting on a couch reading an unusually large book. He was looking up at Sirius with a raised eyebrow. His eyes widened slightly. He completely forgotten about that sweater. "Remus. Did I wear something wrong. Should I go change?" Sirius asked uncertainty present in his voice. "N-no. It's fine Sirius."
"I should go. I can't stay for long. If the Aurors are here, we're both in big trouble." Sirius said looking at the door. He looked much better. Much cleaner, actually. His hair was no longer dirty and matted. He still had bruises all over his body but the clothes covered him up well. "First, Sirius you will take of the shirt." Remus said calmly. "Why?" "I will try to heal the majority of your wounds. If you wish to leave. Then at least you will be healthy." He replied.
"I-fine." Sirius spluttered. He took of the sweater, displaying his bare chest. It was bad. Cuts and bruises everywhere. "How did you take a shower without burning yourself. Look at you? There isn't an inch of skin without bruising." Remus said in shock. "It was bad." Was the only reply he got before he took at his wand and started healing the majority of his bruises. When you live alone with a lyncanthropic problem then you are bound to know a few healing spells. He applied bruise salve which caused Sirius hiss. It took half an hour to heal his body of cuts and bruises. There were still more to heal but Remus wasn't a healer and he was not willing to use his best friend as a test subject.
"Thank you Remus. I-I'm sorry." Sirius eyes were swimming with un-shed tears. "What for?" "Everything, Moony, everything." Sirius' voice was sincere. Remus hugged him. "It's fine Padfoot." Sirius smiled at this. He hadn't smiled in a long time.
