Yuna POV
I woke up in a flying car and I then heard some gunshots. I then saw some men pointing their rifles at me.
Men: Get out of the Hover car!
I quickly ran out and I put my hands up. Is it really going to end like this? Being shot with plasma rifles?
Yuna: What is going on here? I mean no harm!
The men searched me and whispered to each other. I was scared to run as their rifles were scoped and ready to fire at the big target I was. The men then picked up their stun batons ready to shock me. I was about to scream and then I heard an echoing voice.
???: Stop!!
Suddenly, a man in a lab coat ran over towards the two men. Both saluted as if they were in boot camp.
???: This is a great person to do the project!
I was puzzled.
Yuna: Wait... Dr Alan? Is that you?
Dr Alan: Ah, I heard from my ancestors that you have helped them on several missions. I am the founder of the Geo Decent Labs and I think you are the right fit for our small mission! So what will it be, Yes or no?
I was puzzled.
Yuna: I'm sorry? What? What ancestors are you talking about? You were there during the missions of defeating the monsters of the Ice and the Deep. How long has it been? What mission are you on about now?
Dr Alan: Well, it's been about a year since the rare mineral Noxesium was found. You were there when my ancestor discovered it.
Yuna: Oh yeah, it can withstand 6000 degrees kelvin. Is that the mineral you are talking about?
Dr Alan: That's right. Come with me and I'll explain about your next mission. But for now, you should get some sleep. I'll show you to your room.
I was stunned and followed Dr Alan to an orange facility that had a GDL sign on it, which stands for 'Geo Descent Labs'. We walked in and the facility was very bright. We then saw Sasha at the reception desk.
Yuna: Sasha, it's been a while.
Sasha: Oh, welcome! It's been a while since we last saw each other.
Dr Alan's phone ended up ringing and then he turned to Sasha.
Dr Alan: Sasha? Can you please show Yuna to her room? The mission brief starts first thing tomorrow morning and she may need some rest before her exciting mission commences.
Sasha: Alright, follow me.
I followed Sasha to my new room and then I reached my room.
Sasha: Here's your room, rest well Yuna!
Yuna: Thanks, I hope you take care of yourself too Sasha. Thanks for everything so far.
Sasha: Don't worry about it. I'll announce through the intercom when it's time for the brief, okay?
Yuna: Roger that. Sleep well.
Sasha left the room and I opened the computer that is currently on the desk in my temporary bedroom. I then got a call coming through as I hooked up my communicator to the computer. It was from the Nursedessei's Lab's computer. I answered immediately after connecting my air pods to the computer's Bluetooth system.
Yuna: Hello?
Akito was the one who responded to the call.
Akito: Yuna, we've been trying to get through to you for 3 days now. What happened? Are you okay?
