Jimin kept rocking Jessica in his arms unhurriedly. The night had turned deep and so was Jessica's sleep. The princess took hours to stop crying and Jimin sat along with her , holding her close in his arms.
Yeon deemed the narcissistic behavior of the crown princess, but he didn't think much of it, as the woman was indeed perfection and was born with a fortune.
Some amount of ego was bound to be in her, but the case now turned out to be severe, which worried the counselor. Apart from that, the contrast in her personality was fire and ice.
If Jimin had a few more days to study and investigate, he'd be able to help the princess better.
At the end, when the clouds whisked from under the sun, the intimation of the morning reached Jimin's bleary eyes. It was now he placed the princess' sleeping body onto the mattress and looked at her. The older male knew she would be in much better condition when she woke up.
With the intention of just lying down for a few hours, Jimin closed his eyes, but the exhaustion overcame him so that he snoozed. When he woke up, his reflex was to check on the princess, but when he didn't find the younger person inside the room, he panicked.
It was then the entire house that he checked, not that it was difficult as the cabin was small, but Jessica was gone.
Jimin's insides twisted and he felt like his sane side was slipping away. He couldn't figure out where might have the princess gone. But then the realization communed with him. The car. It was gone.
Jimin spared no other moment and rushed to wash up. With the help of villagers, he reached back to the hotel fairly quickly. "Did the princess show up?" He hastily asked the doorman before he could step onto the porch of the building.
"A few hours ago, yes."
Closing his eyes as if the sleet had cleared, Jimin thanked the ancestors and just breathed for a whole minute while holding his forehead. "Thank you," patting the arm of the man, he rushed inside until he was knocking on the princess' door, which turned ajar at the slight tap.
"My princess, may I please come in?""Come in."Jimin kept his eyes low as he entered and gradually, raised them to see the woman in changed clothes. Her appearance looked much better, but the silvery ash-haired male knew it wasn't the reflection of what must be inside. "You scared me when you disappeared."
"Thank you for your hospitality, counselor," Jessica spoke calmly from under the duvet where her legs were laid straight as she sat, leaning against the bedpost. "I couldn't impose myself so I returned. Did my father arrange your car? It's now broken. I will ask him to replace it."
"Broken? Did you hurt yourself, my princess?" Jimin's eyes suddenly traced the lower body of the female who smirked with a sour chuckle. "I came to check up on you. Should you require anything, please command me. I am here at your service." Jimin remained standing at a distance as he continued.
"Will you pass me a pen and paper from there?" Jessica pointed at the table and Jimin ambled to grab it. As he slowly moved to hand the objects over to Jessica , he felt curious. "Sit with me," Jessica asked swiftly, and Jimin situated himself on the lower edge of the bed.
