The monitor dragged me, kicking and screaming, to the detention room. He threw me on the floor and I was grabbed by two other monitors. "Learn your place." The first one said as he left the room. The other two detention monitors were less rough to say the least. They sat me down in a desk and cuffed my hands to the table.
A tall woman wearing some small heels, clearly too small for her feet, walked in. She was carrying a metal ruler and slapping it against her palm as she made her way across the room. Just before the door shut I saw Jacob trying to peel in with a concerned look as his eyes meet mine. The door shuts and clicks and I turn my attention to the ogre looking lady standing in front of me.
"Do you know why your in here Miss Brown?"
She raises one eyebrow in question and stares directly at me.
"Actually no." And I stare right back. Authority figures have never scared me. After what I've been through with my dad there's almost nothing you could do to me to make me genuinely fear you. She slaps my hand with the ruler.
"Answer correctly Miss Brown." I hated me scolded, I mouthed the words back to her and she gave me another slap. It didn't hurt enough to phase me, I maintained the dead locked eye contact.I fought through the entire detention session even grabbing the ruler at one point and attempting to bend it. I was kept in there for an extra hour and they sent me back to my dorm to be locked up, no lunch. To be perfectly honest I wasn't hungry for whatever alien meatloaf they had today anyways.
