4-bookstore

"Hani, i hope you remember what I told you"
Jooha's serious gaze lingered on my figure as i ate the last piece of the toast.

"I do...no working overtime, no interaction on personal level, no helping out people"
I repeated the exact same words he said to me few minutes ago.

"And why?"
"As to not get close to them"
"Good, go ahead"
I quickly got up and headed towards the main door.

"Good luck on your first day!"
A shout came from behind as my face turned blank at the words.
It hurted me.
I went to the bookstore on my bike.

-bookstore-
I entered into the store and was greeted by an old man who had a strict appearance.
I bowed down to him as a way to show my respect.

"I assume you are the new boy joining us from today?" He said, his eyes gazing me from top to down.

"Yes sir" i said and smiled.
"I'd prefer you call me uncle, sir is way too formal"
He said and as i looked at him stunned.

Old man is pretty quick
That felt so warm in my chest

"Okay.....uncle"

"Good...go there Mathew will tell you about all the work"
I turned my eyes towards my left and saw a big and tall figure.

"I'm Mathew, nice to meet you"
He said.

"Same here, I'm Hani"
I said and gave him a gentle smile and we both started working.

His body screamed masculinity but the way he was carrying himself and the talk between us was very gentle. I was surprised by how much talkative he was. He continued telling me about his career, his future planning.
Basically everything.

"So Hani why did you join? Any special reason?"
To escape for some time obviously

"Well... I've always like bookstore. It's really comfortable and peaceful here"
I said.

"Oh well for me it was different.... though I wanted a job but it was not supposed to be here"
I was confused.

"What?"

"Confusing? Haha. I'll tell you....it was two years ago that I joined here. When I first came here as a regular customer I was really...in bad condition but I met a guy here. He is kind, gentle and he comes here twice or thrice a week.
Pretty dumb of me to join this work for a guy right?"

"Yes"
I said without thinking anything.

Way to make a bad impression

Mathew looked at me for a second before laughing.
"Never got such response but.. you're right.
We are friends though. I wish we could be......"

His words stopped in between.
"Anyways let's continue to work I'm speaking too much, aren't i?"
He smiled and started placing the books.

I didn't ask anything and continued my work.

-At home-

It was evening when I got home and relaxing.
Not because it's comforting but because jooha wasn't here.
His work does makes him stay away from me till 1 or something but when he comes home it's... unbearable.

I freshened up and laid on the bed closing my eyes and letting my stress leave my body.

~After 4 hours~
"Hani hey? You asleep..."
I heard a voice but I still closed my eyes.
When I heard the footsteps coming near me my heartbeat increased in fear.

Oh god

"You must have been tired..."
He sat next to me and gave me a kiss on my forehead and a quick kiss on my lips.
His arms went around my shoulders and his face buried in my neck.

"You have such a calming presence....it makes me so so happy to have you"
He said and kisses the side of my shoulder.

I'm not happy

"I know you're awake... Hani"

What...
I'm screwed

"But it's okay I like your games... now that I've caught you..open your eyes my love"
Damn

I slowly opened my eyes and looked at him.
His hairs were all out of place and he a cut on his cheeks. A really small one.

"Enjoyed your game?"
He said with a smile on his face.

I sat on the bed and looked at him. He had such calm expressions on his face which was too out of his usual character.

"Can you treat my wounds and dry my hair?"

No
"Y..yes"

He went into the bathroom and took a bath before coming out and sitting on the chair.
I went towards him grabbing the hair dryer and started drying his hair.

"The feel of your fingers running through my hairs is so peaceful..I love this"
He said and closed his eyes.

After drying his hair, i got the first aid box and started treating his wound.

"I have something really good to tell you"
He said and smiled again

What is it that made him smile so much

I looked at him.

"I'll be staying with you for 2 months, no work...just you and me"

"It sounds like heaven"
     Sound like hell to me
